Peril walked down the hallways, going straight towards his Emperor's room. Although he seemed to be in a hurry, he still tried to greet those that passed by him to hide the abxiety he could feel inside him.

Once he had reached the area, Peril walked through the doors without bothering to knock. "Peril, how many times do I have to tell you to knock before you go in?" The tired voice of the Emperor spoke and Peril laughed, closing the door behind him with an audible click.

Looking up, he saw that Silver wasn't at His Majesty's side today. "Sorry boss~ I was in a hurry." Peril's grin widened when Nightmare glared at him before he sighed lightly. "What brings you here today?" He decided to ask instead, staring at Peril as his grin seems to drop a bit.

Nightmare then straightened his back, clasping his hands together on the table. "What's wrong?" Nightmare asked and Peril walked over to him. "Error told me he... remembered some stuff." Peril began and Nightmare blinked, raising a brow. "I see... is it a bad thing? Considering how you're acting." Nightmare asked and Peril groaned, walking towards the table.

"I don't know actually... the more concerning thing about that is that he's saying it doesn't affect him... the infection- err, virus." Peril added and Nightmare stared at him. "What do you mean?"

"It's just as I said, he told me that the virus is not affecting him... told me that when he was in that AU, it had never once bothered him or even affected him or whatever." Peril walked around the table and towards Nightmare, leaning on him and earning a grumble from the Emperor. "How is that possible? There has been no one who could survive after getting touched by the infected code." Nightmare scowled and Peril crossed his arms as he turned his skull towards the door.

"I'm not too sure either, but that's what he said... and he didn't seem to be scathed, we had him checked too, remember?" He crossed his arms, glancing down at Nightmare, who sighed. He wrapped his tentacle around Peril's waist and hoisted him up, setting him down on the table in front of him after moving some of the papers to the side.

"Yes, we had indeed checked and even confirmed it but... what if... he's hiding it?" Nightmare glanced up at Peril, who frowned at the implications. "It's too much of a coincidence... and there's also the fact that I can't feel his emotions... or it's at least more muffled than before." Nightmare rubbed his nasal bridge with a sigh while Peril huffed, then paused.

"You... can't feel his emotions?" Peril asked, looking at Nightmare who gave a short nod. "Normally, I should've felt it even up close but... it was like there's a mental barrier on him." Nightmare frowned and Peril stayed silent, rubbing his chin lightly. "Didn'tyou say that... you don't feel emotions from those infected...?" Peril slowly asked and Nightmare nods. It was why he assumed that Error was infected, but...

"That doesn't make sense. If he was infected, we should've already seen the glitches spread here... or somewhere on his body- maybe even his clothes!" Peril said in surprise and Nightmare nods, leaning back.

"But there's nothing." Nightmare shrugged and Peril crossed his arms in thought.

"Well, whatever the case is... I'm sure that Error is telling the truth when he says that he's not affected by the virus." Peril huffed. "I just... don't think Error would lie about this. He's shit at lying you know?" Peril snorted while Nightmare sighed at the disrespectful way Peril is talking to him, but nods anyways.

"If... he really says that he could not be affected by the... virus, then that could explain how he still doesn't look infected despite his prolonged time in that world." Nightmare mumbled, looking up at Peril who was pouting now. "But still... that wouldn't explain how the world just... suddenly disappeared." Nightmare added and Peril tilts his skull.
