...It was centuries back,...

Before a lot of the current demons had been sealed and somehow even longer before Wukong and Macaque pissed off Heaven enough to be sealed away under 5-phases-mountain.

A large battle had occurred and broken the lands, leaving a large portion of the mortal realm shattered and in chaos. The atmosphere around the battle seemed to freeze in mid-air and rain down on the beings fighting like snow, but no one ever seemed to notice as they were too engrossed in the war they were waging against a demon.

This demon was no ordinary one though,

Oh no,

This demon couldn't just be beaten up and possibly killed for being too weak, nor be easily locked away, this demon was powerful and had grown too cocky in their actions.

But them growing cocky wasn't in their strength, it was thinking that they were still hidden in the shadows of Heaven.

Unfortunately for Heaven, they were only fighting this battle at all because they let their guards down and their opponent seemed to have done the same, only realising too late that they hadn't been paying enough attention. Out of all of this, that was the only thing they were thankful for.

All of a sudden, a loud clash rang out in the air, and all attention was turned up to the sky where sparks of all colours flashed continuously looking almost like stars in a clear sky. No matter how morbid the truth really was.

The sparks came from the occupants of the battlefield with some being more powerful than others, and with every light that vanished, something fell from the sky like a falling star and painted the red and white ground with their colours.

The power radiating from the clash of demon and celestial is so great that it causes the very mountains that surround them to quake and tremble, with old temples crumbling and falling in on themselves.

The term 'heat of battle' is also taken literally in this case, because the very energy coming from Heaven and it's allies melts the ice that slowly climbs up the trees, spreads on the earths surface, freezes over lakes, and causes waves of wind to spin and form almost catastrophic storms.
