The trip back to Heaven didn't take too long, and was relatively short by Ne Zha's standards since it was usually longer between all the domains he had to cross. But all in all, he wasn't going to complain about a shorter trip, and if anything he'd take notes for the next time he left Heaven so it would just just as fast coming back as it was this time.

Upon his arrival at the gates the guards stopped him as usual so they could make sure who was going in and out, along with also make sure nothing was going to get stolen like every other time Sun Wukong and Macaque got in. Well, more like Macaque is in regular writing of stuff to watch out for, and Sun Wukong is in bold letters and highlighted by celestial magic, so it sticks out like a sore thumb and is physically impossible to ignore.

2 decades ago and Ne Zha would've snickered at it, as his biggest annoyance would've finally gotten what's coming for him, but now it's just a reminder of his job and his promise to Qi Xiaotian.

How did his priorities change so much? 

He may never know.

So until then, he's just gotta do what he needs to do, and at the moment that is report to the Jade Emperor, and then go to his temple to figure out the clue the monkey prince gave him.

Easier said than done..... actually what's harder?

Figuring out a hint or lying to the Jade Emperor?

Can't really be compared as both pros out way all cons, which doesn't help at all, but it does kinda put it into perspective.... even if said perspective is terrifying.

Guard: "Uhm, sir?"

Ne Zha basically jumped out of his skin when the guard addressed him as he had apparently been so deep in thought that he didn't even notice the guy coming.... also when did he get to his temple?

Guard: "Are you okay sir?"

Hm? Oh right! The guard is still here.

So coughing into his hand and trying to not look like a startled cat Ne Zha responded as calmly and as unembarrassed as possible, and as someone of his station should in general.

Ne Zha: "Yes, I am okay. I was just lost in thought and clearly went to deep into it."
