Xiaotian: "No! That's not what I meant! I was just nervous and I didn't feel ready yet. I'm sorry, I've been wanting to see you both again for basically forever and I've wished to see you again even more. I have missed you both so much that I can't even put it into words. I'm sorry you thought that I didn't want to see you guys."

With Xiaotian suddenly being there and saying all this to them left both monkeys stunned to silence, and they just stared wide-eyed at the cub they haven't seen or heard from in decades. Macaque may have been able to here him, but putting a face to the voice was still big, and their previously little cub now looked a lot older than when they left him.

Wukong was about the same as without the hearing his mate has, he has had no information or intel on how his cub is doing, so to see Xiaotian right here, right now, all grown up was just something his mind wasn't able to process never mind comprehend.

Xiaotian was just as shocked as they were, as even if it was him who had come to them, it was just because he felt guilty about hearing his baba think that he didn't want to see them. It's not like he could've just let him believe that. If he did then he was a coward and what was all this for?

He literally made a deal with the personified devil so he could find them again and went through 20 years of torture at the hand of said demons puppet because he had a vendetta against his parents. Now way in diyuu was all that going down the drain because of nerves and fear.

Ne Zha on the other hand just stood off to the side leaving the family to their moment as even he could understand that all of this was a lot to take in and would probably take a few minutes for anything to happen.

He was right and it did take about 30 minutes for anyone to do anything and during that whole time Ne Zha was genuinely questioning if they had turned to statues as no one moved an inch and they all just stared wide-eyed at each other. Seriously, just add some dust and you couldn't tell the difference.

He was thankful when Wukong spoke as he seemed to be the most out of his shock even if his expression never changed and all he did was speak a few words that came out sounding more like an unsure question.

Wukong: "Xiaotian...? You've... you've grown..."

It may have been small but it was enough to start something and since it was Xiaotian he addressed, the monkey in question actually moved and switched between fiddling with his fingers, messing with the fur on his tail and rubbing the back of his neck. Even when he spoke he didn't sound certain, but I don't think anyone could tell if that was about what he was saying or if it was something else.

Xiaotian: "Y- yeah... guess I have. It kinda comes with aging doesn't it..?"

It was a short answer, but with no sort of follow up question, no one knew what to say as they either had too many questions or just couldn't think of any. So the silence that filled the area was almost deafening and it felt like a huge weight was on top of all of them and making it hard to breath.
