The Next Day

I had gotten up early so I could run all my errands before this meeting with the pageant judges and Mikaela. I was nervous and anxious but also pretty excited to get it over with.

I quickly threw on my beige blazer to match my beige Louboutins. I tucked the front of my loose white tank top into my light denim ripped jeans. My hair was curled and my makeup was natural styled with a red lipstick.

I grabbed my bag and quickly walked down the stairs, making sure I don't trip as I do so. I grabbed my keys off the kitchen counter and two nutrition bars for breakfast.

I looked down at my phone for the second time to see a text from Jack that made me stop momentarily and smile wide.

"Good morning beautiful, good luck today. Call me if you need me, I'll be here for you." With a kissy face emoji and a pink heart.

I bit my lip before sending a kissy face emoji and locking it, heading out the door and off to run my errands in my car.

Mikaela's POV

"I wonder what she wants." I thought out loud, eating my breakfast with Brandon at the kitchen counter.

Brandon shrugged, "She said she had a way to prove that she didn't cheat."

I furrowed my eyebrows, "Even if she did, that's not what I want."

Brandon slammed his hand down, startling me, "What do you want, Mikaela? Do you even know what you want anymore?" He exclaimed, shaking his head, "God, you're so impossible. This is so ridiculous, you're insane." He ranted.

"I want what I deserve! I want the crown! I want the sash! And I want the money!" I shouted, standing up from my seat.

"Try out for another pageant and fucking earn it instead of acting like a psycho!" He shouted, standing up as well.

I opened my mouth but quickly shut it. His angry demeanor was honestly frightening. I slowly sat back down and continued to eat, not knowing what to say.

"Exactly, you're being insane. I miss how close we used to be, you let this pageant drama bullshit change that. When you find my sister, let me know." He put his plate in sink and walked away.

For the first time in months, Brandon left me completely speechless.

Brielle's POV
2:35Pm

I had finished my last errand and was currently on my way to where the meeting was going to be held. It was at an office my mom had but she was thinking of selling it and relocating closer to the house.

It was approximately forty-five minutes away and I had been driving for about thirty minutes already. The only thing keeping my calm at the moment was my music booming around me in my car.

I had considered calling Jack but I decided against it because I wanted to do this on my own. I could handle this, I could handle her.

Minutes later, I finally arrived at the office. The judges were already there and I quickly hopped out, apologizing for being late.

"It's fine, we just got here not to long ago." Joanie dismissed with a wave of her hand, a sweet smile on her face.

I opened the office doors and walked inside. I led them all to the room where this meeting would be held. They all took a seat around the round wooden table.

"So you said you needed us for what again?" Anthony asked, placing his hands on the table.

"For me, I'm guessing." Mikaela's voice startled me, causing me to turn around quickly.
