Brielle's POV
A Week LaterMy heels tapped across the familiar marble floor as I was led to that familiar office to turn down the job offer. It wouldn't be easy because I knew they'd try to convince me even more but I have made up my mind.
My new company, clothesminded, will happen as soon as possible.
"Thank you." I smiled softly at the receptionist who led me to the office.
Once I walked in I was met with those familiar smiling faces, they all look so confident. Damn.
"Brielle! It's good to see you again!" Elise Johns exclaimed happily.
"Hello everybody." I smiled, taking a seat in the only empty black swivel chair.
Miya smiled, "So have you made a decision yet?" She asked, getting straight to the point excitedly.
I nodded, "Indeed I have." I took the packet out of my bag and placed it neatly on the table.
"Well?" Christian asked, a smirk on his face.
I licked my lips, "I'm gonna have to say no."
Their eyes all widen in shook, "What!? Why?" Malik exclaimed sadly.
I smiled softly, "You guys actually gave me the inspiration to start my own company."
Christian scoffed, "Your own company? Really Brielle? You're an amateur, you won't get anywhere any time soon."
I shrugged, "Although you may be right about me not getting anywhere soon, you're wrong about being an amateur. I've been exposed to the fashion business my whole life. I'm very confident in what I wanna do and I know how to get there." I explained.
Elise sighed loudly, "I'm so upset, I was really excited about you working with us. You could've been huge in a few months."
I nodded, "I know."
"You do know you're missing out on a once in a lifetime opportunity, right?" Miya looked at me like I had two heads.
I nodded again, "I'm aware."
"This could've helped your career significantly." Liana Wilson added
Once again I nodded, "Yes, I know."
"Then why aren't you choosing us?" Andre asked, clearly befuddled.
"I already explained. I want to make my own business."
Natalia cleared her throat, "I think it's a wonderful idea." She smiled sweetly.
I returned the smile and she continued, "Her mother has one of the biggest fashion companies. It's only natural that she'd wanna follow in her moms footsteps. I think you'll do great."
"Thank you, Natalia. I appreciate it." I nodded my head at her respectfully.
I stood up from my seat and pushed the packet to the middle of the table, "I think our conversation is over. Thank you guys for the wonderful opportunity and I wish you all the best."
Christian scoffed again, "If anything you'll need the wishes. You're gonna fail, Brielle. Just because your mom is huge doesn't mean you'll be."
I raised my eyebrows at him, "You seem very upset. That's a shame. I can't wait to prove you wrong though. Have a great life, Christian." I said respectfully and calmly before I strutted out the office.

Later On That Evening
"So you're serious about this?" My lawyer, Angela asked.
