Brielle's POV
"Babe," Jack grabbed my waist as I paced back and forth, "why are you so nervous about your mom coming back today?" He asked.
My mom had called me early in the morning to tell me that she was on her way to the airport and would be home in about five hours.
I knew I was going to have to tell my mom about my recent plans to start my own business then I'd receive a lecture and she'd be angry at me. She'll be even more upset once she finds out I plan on moving out in a few weeks.
I had put a down payment on the house two days ago and made plans to move in before next month. She's gonna freak the hell out.
"You don't know my mom like I do, she's gonna have a heart attack." I stressed, running my hands through my hair.
"You freaking out before she has a chance to step foot in LA isn't going to help anything." He chuckled softly, rubbing my upper-arms.
I sighed and nodded, "I know, you're right. I just don't know how I'm going to tell her." I rubbed my maroon lips together.
"Just sit her down and tell her. Maybe take her out to dinner so you're in public and she won't flip out so bad." He suggested.
I laughed, "Yeah you definitely don't know my mom." I exhaled loudly, "I'm just gonna have to tell her straight up. Like I'm an adult and it's about time I move out."
There was a knock on the door making me whip my head towards the front door, my heartbeat increasing by the second.
"Are you serious?! How did she get here so fast?" I whisper-yelled.
Jack hugged me tightly, "Relax babe, I can feel your heart beating fast as hell."
I sighed and pulled away reluctantly and took a few deep breaths before walking towards the front door. I slowly unlocked the door, twisted the knob and opened the door.
"Welcome h-" I stopped, furrowing my eyebrows, "Marie?"
"Surprise!" She exclaimed, a huge smile on her face.
I took a deep breath and sighed in relief, "I thought you were my mom. What are you doing here?"
"My best friend senses were tingling, I felt like you needed me." She smiled confidently, walking inside.
"Oh hey, Jack." She smiled, waving at him.
"Hey Marie, how are you?" Jack smiled sweetly.
I closed and locked the door behind me as I walked back into the living room with Marie and Jack.
"I've been great actually. Seems like you guys have been as well." She smirked at us.
I rolled my eyes, "Anyway," i changed the subject, "your little senses were correct."
"Of course."
"My moms coming back home today and I have to tell her about starting up my new company and moving into my new house." I explained.
Marie sucked in air through her teeth, "Oh shit,"
"See!" I exclaimed, looking over at Jack.
"What if Marie and I are there to back you up?" He suggested, "what if we all go out to dinner, I'll try to butter her up and you just lay it on her?"
"I don't know, Jack."
"Hold on now, I think it might work." Marie held up her hand.
"Are you serious?" I raised my eyebrows
