"I'm here."
"I will wait for you."
"Did you hit traffic?"
"Call me ASAP."
Jimin rolled his eyes as he scrolled through Vincent's messages. The guy had been messaging and calling nonstop for the past hour, but Jimin ignored every single one.
"He's already there," Jimin announced to Jungkook and Jackson, who were making final preparations.
"Do you want me to drive you?" Jungkook asked, securing the bulletproof vest around Jimin's torso before grabbing a large black hoodie from the couch.
"No need, hon. Namjoon-hyung and Suga-hyung will take care of it," Jimin assured him.
Jungkook helped him slip into the hoodie, making sure the vest was completely concealed. His lips pressed together, anxiety clear in his eyes. "Call me the second something feels off, okay? I'll come get you immediately."
Jackson chuckled. "Don't worry about him. My friend will take care of everything."
They had gone over the plan in a meeting yesterday. Jackson's men were already stationed at key locations, including the coffee shop where Jimin would meet Mingyu. Everything was in place.
But Jungkook couldn't shake the uneasy feeling in his gut.
"Okay, okay," Jungkook exhaled before leaning down and pressing a firm kiss to Jimin's lips.
Jimin smiled against his touch. "I should go. Hyungs are probably waiting." He kissed Jungkook again before stepping away.
As soon as the door shut behind Jimin, Jungkook's expression darkened. He turned to Jackson. "Are you absolutely sure he'll be safe?"
Jackson placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder, his voice firm. "Trust us this time, Jungkook. We won't let anything happen to your husband."

"Are you sure you don't want us to escort you to the coffee shop?" Suga asked as he clutches on the steering wheel of his car, concern lacing his voice. His fiancé, Taehyung, had just threatened to call off their wedding if anything happened to Jimin, and he wasn't about to take that lightly.
Jimin chuckled, remembering Taehyung's frantic call earlier. "Don't worry, hyung. Taehyung wouldn't actually break up with you if something happened to me."
Taehyung and Jin had been furious when they found out about the plan—especially since Jimin was involved. He had reassured them he would be fine, but the one condition he insisted on was that his mother could never know. In the end, they had reluctantly agreed, though not without making their displeasure known.
Jin had even pulled Namjoon aside, insisting they keep a close eye on Jimin. The mere thought of something happening to him was unbearable.
Suga sighed, rubbing the back of his head. "He's been really scary lately."
Jimin shook his head with an amused smile. "He's too whipped for you to actually go through with it." He teased before reaching for the car door.
"Jimin." Namjoon's voice stopped him mid-motion.
"Yeah?"
"Just… just stay alert, okay?" Namjoon said hesitantly.
Jimin's smile softened. "Will do, hyung."
With that, he stepped out of the car and headed toward the café, ready to face Mingyu.
