The holidays are almost here. Summer has ended, and winter is approaching, bringing with it the next big celebration—Thanksgiving. Despite the chaotic Thanksgivings they've had in the past, the Gallaghers still hold a certain fondness for the holiday. Whether it's the company of their siblings or the promise of good food, everyone is looking forward to it. Everyone except the new man of the house, who isn't from the U.S. However, there's something else Y/N is looking forward to.

Waking up on a Monday morning, he reaches for his phone and checks the date. He sits up just in time to hear Mikhail stirring as well.

"Just three more days." Y/N mutters, getting out of bed. He walks over to the crib, where he finds Mik playing with a stuffed dog.

"Almost one year old! ...And still shitting yourself, huh?"

After changing Mik's diaper and getting dressed, Y/N heads upstairs to feed his son. After making sure Mik is eating, he starts preparing breakfast for himself and the rest of the household. One by one, the others make their way downstairs.

"Morning, Mik!" Kaitlyn crouches next to the baby, who grins at her excitement. "How's my little buddy?"

"He's good. It's almost his birthday." Y/N says while setting the last plate of breakfast in front of Mickey.

"Really?" Debbie asks, holding Franny on her lap as they both join the meal. "His first birthday?" She smiles at the thought. "When is it?"

"This Thursday." Y/N answers casually, not expecting the surprised looks that follow.

"During Thanksgiving?" Kaitlyn asks.

Y/N blinks, only now realizing the timing. "Oh... yeah. I forgot you guys celebrate that."

"You forgot?" Ian looks at him with concern. "Please tell me you at least bought the food."

"I never forget my groceries."

"Not groceries, dumbass." Mickey snaps. "Turkey. Squash. Stuffing. That's what we mean."

"...No."

"For fuck's sake!"

"Are you kidding me?"

"Are you stupid?"

Debbie, Ian, and Mickey react instantly, each with their own level of frustration.

"Look, back in Russia, we never celebrated Thanksgiving." Y/N defends himself. "And to be fair, it's not like any of you celebrate Victory Day."

"I don't even know what that is." Mickey mutters.

"It's about—"

"I didn't ask."

"Calm down." Kaitlyn speaks up, drawing everyone's attention. "We can still celebrate Thanksgiving. We just have to find a turkey and the rest of the food. Since all the last-minute stuff is probably running out, we need to get creative."

Everyone takes a moment to think of a solution.

"I know a guy with a turkey." Mickey finally says, giving in.

"There you go!" Kaitlyn encourages. "Go to him and ask if we can have it."

"That's a no-go." Mickey looks over at Ian. "How about we visit him later? I'll distract him, and you catch the turkey."

Ian stares at him. "We're going to slaughter it?"

"Let's just think this through." Kaitlyn says before things escalate. "If we play this smart, we can still have a normal Thanksgiving."
