Despite still recovering from surgery, Y/N continues working out, much to Lip's dismay. The blonde thinks his husband should just relax for a while. Meanwhile, the buff man insists it's 'just a run,' though Lip knows it's more than that. Still, knowing how well his husband handles physical pain, he assumes he'll be fine.

That leads Y/N to today. At the end of the week, he and Vlad are jogging around the block. With his brother's larger size, the younger man makes sure to hold himself back.

After a few minutes, the two arrive back at the house. Before entering, Vlad drops onto a bench, completely exhausted. Sweat drips down his body, his shirt stained. Y/N hands him a water bottle.

"You did good." Y/N compliments him. "Rest well. We do it again tomorrow."

"Sometimes I wish I didn't have to." Vlad groans, taking a sip from the bottle.

"Don't become cynical now." Y/N replies, leaning against the beam. "You're on the right track. The reason so many people quit losing weight is because of demotivation."

"I know, I know..." Vlad places the bottle back on the bench, still panting.

Y/N studies him for a moment. Despite working out, Vlad hasn't lost as much weight as expected. Even though progress takes time and effort, he should be noticeably lighter by now.

"How much weight did you lose?"

Vlad looks away, avoiding his brother's eyes. "Like... seven kilos last time I checked."

"Uh-huh..." Y/N says skeptically, looking him over. "You started at 150 kilos. And since you got sick, you lost about 20 kilos, so you're claiming you're at 130 now."

"Yeah." Vlad says casually.

Y/N raises an eyebrow. "Doesn't look like you lost 20 kilos to me."

"What can I say? It's just leftover skin." Vlad excuses himself.

Y/N frowns, clearly tired of the excuses. "You're eating, aren't you?"

"No." Vlad replies quickly. But under his brother's stare, he falters. "...Fine. I lost... just six kilos in total."

"Dammit, Vlad!" Y/N groans in frustration.

Vlad looks slightly ashamed. "To be fair, I lost about 20... I just gained most of it back." He adds awkwardly.

Y/N glares at him. "You live with us to stay clean. I've been cooking healthy dinners. I do the groceries. How the hell are you not losing weight?"

"It's just hard, okay!" Vlad stands up defensively. "I can't do drugs. I can't drink. I can't have sex. And since fast food is so easy to get, I sometimes feel like I deserve a break." He pauses, realizing how bad that sounds even as he says it.

"Yeah, and that's why people stay fat!" Y/N snaps back. "It's not that hard. Just eat less shit and work out."

"It's not that hard?" Vlad frowns. "It's fucking hard. I'm carrying around 70 extra kilos here. You have no idea how hard it is to work out like this."

"You're overreacting." Y/N replies, making his brother look even more annoyed. "Even if you're out of breath, you take a break and get back to it."

"Oh really?" Vlad raises an eyebrow. "Someone sounds confident without actually experiencing it."

Y/N shrugs, unfazed. "What's there to do?"

"Fine." Vlad says. "I dare you to carry 70 extra kilos every day."

Y/N chuckles, dismissing it. "I'm not getting fat just to be told 'I told you so.'"

"I never said that." Vlad replies. "Just get a backpack, load it up, and carry it around."
