The next morning arrives. Y/N has a constant frown on his face now that Mandy is in the house. Lip tries to assure him that everything is fine, but he knows his husband is stubborn in situations like this.

Usually, every morning the family eats together. Since cooking for all of them takes too much time, Lip and Y/N have settled on something simple: slices of bread with several sandwich toppings such as cheese, meat, jam, or peanut butter.

As the family eats, the children are curious about the new woman and want to learn more about her. All of them are staring at Mandy.

"So how long have you been a whore?" Mikhail asks.

"Mikhail!" Lip snaps, immediately glaring at his son. Mandy looks awkward.

"What?" Mikhail doesn't see a problem with it. "It's not like she isn't one."

"Just watch it." Lip warns, giving Mandy an apologetic look as everyone continues eating.

"So..." Fred speaks up, sounding awkward. "You know her, Dad?"

"Yes. She's an—an old friend." Lip says, choosing his words carefully.

"Did you fuck her?"

Lip shoots his oldest child another glare as Mandy flinches. "Mikhail!" He lets out a sigh. "Can we talk about something else?"

"Why did she sleep on the couch?" Kate asks.

Lip thinks quickly, not wanting to reveal the truth. "Well... she's a friend of mine, and we help friends, so we let her stay."

Kate looks back at the woman, noticing her beauty despite how worn down she looks. "You're pretty."

"Oh—uhm... thanks." Mandy says, giving her a small smile.

"Is she going to live here?" Kate asks, causing Y/N to look visibly irritated—though he tries not to show it.

Lip senses the tension but ignores it. "We'll see what happens. First things first, we're going to get her some new clothes."

Kate's eyes light up. "Can I go!?"

Lip looks at Mandy, who doesn't seem to mind. He smiles at his daughter. "Sure."

Kate grins.

Y/N remains quiet as the conversation continues. He does his best to keep his composure, feeling like he has nowhere to direct his annoyance—until Maksim grabs more bread and the peanut butter jar.

"You've eaten enough." Y/N says.

"But I'm still hungry."

"If you're hungry, eat an apple or something." Y/N takes the bread and peanut butter off his son's plate. "It's bad enough you gained fifteen pounds in a week. We don't need you blowing up even more."

Maksim frowns, still hungry. "But, Pa—"

"No." Y/N replies sternly, standing up to grab a healthier alternative. "From now on, if you want more food, it's fruit or vegetables. Today, we're running around until you're back in shape. No fast food or soda until then."

Maksim gasps in disbelief and looks at his other father. "But I'm hungry, Dad!"

"Listen to your pa." Lip says. "Be glad he isn't starving you. Let this be a lesson not to overeat."

"You don't have to tell me." Kate comments. "I'm not planning on going on My 600-Pound Life."

In the city, Lip arrives at a clothing store together with Mandy and Kate. Since his ex is still wearing the same clothes, he wants her to at least have some different options to wear. It's only supposed to be something casual.
