One year ago, during the last Halloween of 2023, the 'incident' happened. Fred is still surprised that no one has spoken the truth. Mikhail, being the cold-hearted kid he is, of course keeps quiet. Kate is great at pretending nothing ever happened. He isn't sure Lyn even cares about what happened. Alyosha, as usual, is less innocent than he appears. The weak link should've been Maksim, but after a lot of gaslighting from his siblings, as well as sleeping pills, he thinks it's just a bad dream. That leaves Fred, remembering the night clearly.

As much as he tries to forget about it, he can't—especially now that the one-year anniversary has arrived. Thus, having a nightmare about the whole ordeal, he keeps thinking about it.

Halloween, 2023. Mikhail stole Lip's and Y/N's car and convinced his siblings to take it for a joyride. In the dark streets of Chicago, they were driving with their oldest brother behind the wheel. Due to their lack of height, they needed a creative solution to drive the car properly. However, with Lyn's idea of having a supportive seat that raised Mikhail, with strong ropes connected to the gas pedal as well as some stones, they managed to make it work. Next to the big brother was Alyosha, with Maksim in the back seat, along with Kate and Lyn, and Fred taking the last seat.

"Be careful!" Fred shouted.

"It's alright. Stop yelling." Mikhail responded casually as he continued driving through the empty, dark streets.

"I feel so cool!" Maksim shouted with excitement, causing Kate to glare at him for being so loud. "We should do this all the time!"

"I hate that I can't record it!" Kate complained. "Just imagine the views!"

"Yeah, and have our parents find out?" Mikhail scoffed judgmentally. "This is why you aren't the leader."

Lyn leaned forward, as if on cue, and said. "Did you know the first car ever made in 1885 by Karl Benz had a top speed of only ten miles per hour? I think we're definitely breaking that record!"

The car fell silent for a moment, and then the others groaned in unison.

"Oh my God, Lyn, no one cares!" Kate exclaimed, rolling her eyes.

"Yeah, we're trying to break our own record, not a hundred-year-old one." Mikhail muttered as he tightened his grip on the wheel.

Maksim then added. "Less trivia, more driving, please!"

Lyn only decide to continue. "Did you know the average car has around 30,000 parts? Imagine if one of them fell out right now!"

"Can we please just enjoy the ride without a history lesson?" Kate sighed, rubbing her temples.

"Seriously, Lyn, save the car facts for an actual car ride." Mikhail added, rolling his eyes but gripping the wheel a bit tighter.

Right before Lyn could open her mouth, the oldest brother looked back at his sister. During which, he didn't see what was going to happen next. "Oh, shut the fuck up! Just because you have the right as a woman to speak doesn't mean I'm going to take it—"

Fred then looked alarmed as he saw an old lady crossing the road. "WATCH OUT!"

As the oldest brother snapped back, it was far too late. Right when he hit the grandma, Mikhail slammed the brakes. That's when the entire family looked shocked at the dead woman on the road.

"Did we just kill someone?!" Maksim shouted in fear.

"Maybe she's alive?" Kate said doubtfully.

That's when the children got out of the car. Surrounding the old woman, Lyn analyzed the corpse. Her head was heavily bleeding and she was not breathing.
