69. Finishing Battles and Something Else ;)

Hinata's POV

Fighting with Sensei and lady Luminious together was something I never thought I'd ever do. We've been fighting Granbell for a while and he's been mostly stalling us and trying to use his skill to drain our energy reserves dry for his own use. We however have Luminous with us so his efforts to do so however it seems that he has something else up his sleeves for us.

He used a dirty tactic to get me kill in a pathetic way. Because of that I've died, maybe, I'm still not sure if that's the case. But I am currently inside of a student of Shizu called Chloe. Learning that I have been slowly getting used to being a passenger in her body and seeing how the world was like in the past. She's also told me something interesting as well.

Chloe- "Don't worry Hinata-san this is all part of Rimuru sensei's plan. Soon you will be stronger than you were before. Sensei has never lost a fight and has never failed to keep his promises."

Hinata- "I very much doubt that is true. Can you at least explain where we are and why I'm in your body?"

Chloe- "Sure I can. I've got plenty of time to tell you after all. But first I'd like to let you know one important thing."

Hinata- "Sure I guess but I hope it's relevant to our current situation."

Chloe- "Oh don't you worry about that Hinata it very much is since Luminous has also agreed to the terms set by the group."

Hinata- "Group? What group are you talking about? How have you met lady Luminious before if you've never gone to night garden?"

Chloe- "Well Luminious came to Tempest from time to time and often spoke with me and Ciel when she did."

Odd? I never remember her telling me she'd gone to Tempest before. Perhaps she kept it from me for her own reasons. But what does our current situation have to do with lady Luminious? I guess I'll just keep listening then.

Chloe- "We all agreed on who should be allowed to marry Rimuru and you are a possible candidate but we were unsure of your thoughts on it. So?"

Hinata- "Wha- um ah. Where is this all coming from exactly? Aren't you still a child?"

Chloe- "Debatable I'm actually older than you and even most people in the world are including Shizu sensei. I am the masked hero after all."

Hinata- "The masked hero?!"

Chloe- "Well that is of little concern. Now, your answer. But do take your time to think on it before answering."

Marry Rimuru? I'd never even thought of it especially since he's a monster. Though when I first confronted him I did feel hesitant to fight him. But that was because of his strength not his looks.... Ok maybe a little from that but not a lot. Though if I were to say that was all I'd be lying to myself. When I first met him I felt like I was seeing Shizu sensei after a long time. But it felt different as well. Like it was to separate people were fused together with Shizu.

That feeling only grew the longer I saw his deeds from a distance. Along with my reflections on our short encounter, I also heard the stories of what Luminous told me about his past. About the power he held and the kindness he effortlessly handed out to those in need the most. Only for him to later be locked away by the creator himself. I can still hear the sadness in Luminous's words even now at his forced departure. He even gave her more strength through him renaming her.

All of this also added to my own personal observation makes me think I don't hold such emotions for him. I see him in a different light I think. Though the words I'd describe him with are embarrassing to say out loud. To me he felt like, a father I never really had. Even when I was trying to kill him he was teaching me instead of just killing me where I stood. I never even felt like I was in any danger either.
