83. Date Pt. 2 and the Challenge

                           Rimuru's POV

Heading to the Zombie Survival room we now had to pick our map we'd be playing on. There were four to choose from but since Shizu has never played and neither have I, we decided to go with the smallest and simplest one available. After picking a map a robotic voice spoke to us.

Robotic voice- "Are you sure you wish to play Nacht Der Untoten?"

I select yes since it's considered the easiest map to play with the simplest premise. Survive.

After selecting it we are transported to a room that has equipment that looks similar to a VR head set. Going over to it there's a note on the side that says to place on head to enter level.

Understanding what it likely does I go to place it is n my head when Shizu asks a question.

Shizu- "Why is this considered necessary for me to play this game? Isn't it a survival situation?"

Seeing as we were waiting for a fourth person I thought I'd try to explain it all to her. Unfortunately Ciel got to it first with excitement.

Ciel- "It is a fake world that we are about to enter. It doesn't actually exist and is only there visually through light being generated. It only senses your movements by...."

Shizu- "Ciel, simplify it please."

Ciel hearing that gave a small pouting face but did as asked.

Ciel- "It just recreates things to imitate what you are seeing visually. You will still be here. Once you put the head set on it will all become clear."

Shizu- "I'll believe you Ciel. It is all just a bit beyond me. I thought I'd need something called a Keyboard or controller like my students told me about."

Rimuru- "Well they usually do if we didn't use magic to aid in its creation. Now we only need these head sets to play."

As I was saying that our fourth person came into the room. It was Kirara.

Kirara- "Oh, fancy seeing all of you here. Especially you Rimuru."

Rimuru- "What's that supposed to mean?" I don't know why but her saying that feels like a jab at me.

Kirara- "Well seeing as this is a game before your time I thought you wouldn't know how to play it, old man." She says with a playful smirk.

Rimuru- "O-of course I have played it before. You'll see I will carry this team to victory." I say with a clenched fist.

Kirara- "Sure, sure. Then I guess I won't be teaching newbs how to play this time then like I have been all day today. I'll let you handle it all, k." She says with a wink.

Dam she's got me good. I've only played this once while I was at a colleges house at a drinking party. I don't even remember how far I made it. But I can't look bad in front of Shizu.

Rimuru- "Fine. I'll do it."

Kirara- "Great. Then I'll just focus on setting myself up while you teach them the ropes."

Rimuru- "Sure thing. Then let's get started shall we."

We all then started to put our headsets on to enter the game. Once we did it would paralyze us so we wouldn't harm each other or ourselves accidentally.

As the game loaded us in I saw electrical effects surrounding us like we had teleported in. I felt in my hand I had a pistol given to me and I couldn't even drop it. After we had a man lying on the ground spoke to us.
