(...do you fear what's in the dark?)

Dogday, Crafty, and Hoppy ran into the closet, their hearts beating rapidly. Somehow, a very dizzy-looking Bomb had gotten in Dogday's arms, her body slightly limp.

Dogday took one look around, and immediately gasped in horror.

"You've got to kidding me!" Dogday whisper-yelled, his eyes wide.

"What?" Crafty asked, her hold on Dogday's paw tightened.

"We really need to grab Angel if anything like this this ever happens again." Dogday said, shaking his head.

Hoppy looked around, and there was no human in sight. "Why the hell do they keep disappearing?!"

"Oh my god!" Crafty sobbed, her panic starting to make her breathing more difficult than it already was.

"Wait, where's the bear?" Hoppy asked, looking at their feet. The mini critters were another thing that just seemed to always vanish out of thin air.

"Okay, this is really bad!" Crafty said, unintentionally starting to cut off Dogday's blood circulation.

"Everyone stop panicking!" Dogday yelled, though he seemed the most distressed out of the group.

"What if Angel is already dead?" Crafty whispered, ignoring the canine.

"Crafty, come on! Snap out of it, you too!" Hoppy commanded, watching as her two companions continued their spiral.

Then, a scream echoed through the hallways, the door only slightly muffled the sound.

The closet went quiet, a mix of shocked and horrified expressions on their faces.

—————(Somewhere Else)————

Angel ran, faster then they ever thought they could. Catnap was right behind them, giggling like a maniac as he chased the human, running on all fours.

Angel burst through door after door, the sound of it slamming shut only seconds before being shoved open again further feeding the growing anxiety.

Suddenly the giggling stopped, the pounding footsteps disappearing with it. Angel turned their head, and then stopped.

Their chest went up and down rapidly as they took in breath after breath. Their throat started burn, making it hard to swallow.

Catnap had completely disappeared.

Deep down, Angel knew that such a thing wasn't really the case. The cat was somewhere, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

They wanted to scream, to call for help. Yet, that could easily lead to death. Plus, Angel didn't really think that their dry throat would be able to make the effort.

Angel turned, looking at the room they had run into. It was rather large, with a ginormous tank-like machine in the center. It was filled to the brim with red smoke.

An elevator like contraption was some thirty feet to Angel's left. While an armored door was to their right.

Angel looked up, a mess of metal pipes and high platforms stared back at them. Angel had never wished more that the cat didn't know how to climb.
