(@CrazyWitchyLady, you are going to be so confused. I apologize in advance 😭. Also, happy pride!)

Catnap softly groaned as he regained consciousness. His head was pounding, his injured eye and knee felt cold and were seething with pain.

He leg moved, and he felt the burnt fur drag along the concrete floor. The bandage on his knee was gone, and Catnap assumed the same thing with his eye.

He hesitantly opened his good eye, a blinding light filling his vision. It soon vanished, the blurry space coming into focus.

He was in a room, a small one at that. There were rusted pipes and odd pieces of machinery scattered around the tight space.

The light from before had come from the obnoxiously bright rectangle-shaped lights in the ceiling.

Catnap brought a paw to his head as he sat up, wincing at the pain in his knee. He looked at the ground, and froze.

One of his ankles had a metal chain wrapped around it, which connected to a pipe that stretched from the floor to the ceiling.

He brought his free leg closer to him, trying to keep all other body parts away from the cold material. A small sliding sound made the cat's head snap to the noise.

A mini Picky stood there, but unlike the others it stood on two legs, carrying a spear of sorts in one hoof.

It squeaked fearfully when it saw him, turning it's head to look behind it. Catnap blinked.

"S-Stay back! I c-can do some d-damage!" It said, looking back towards him and pointing the spear at the feline.

Catnap had to do a double take. It spoke! Not squeaking, which Catnap had to translate. But actual words!

"Y-you c-c-can t-talk?" Catnap asked, subconsciously getting an inch closer to the mini critter.

It backed up, before nodding cautiously. Catnap smiled, amazed.

"A-are there m-m-more like y-you?"

The mini turned its head again, the spear still held out in front of it. It suddenly jerked its head, as if trying to call someone over.

Another mini, this one a mini Catnap, walked into view. It stood there (on two legs!), and crossed its arms while it took a step towards the larger toy.

"Listen. You're going to tell us what we want to know. Or we're getting Doey." It threatened. Catnap tilted his head, his expression going blank.

"What is the-"

"Who's D-D-Doey?" Catnap cut in. The minis remained silent for a minute, staring at him. Before they looked to each other, bewildered.

"The doughman!" The mini Catnap replied, "Don't play dumb."

"Now, tell-"

"W-W-What's a d-doughman?"

It was silent for a second, "Could you not?" The mini asked. Catnap laughed nervously, nodding.

"What is the Prototype planning?"

Catnap stared at it for a second, narrowing his eyes ever so slightly. The mini and him stared at each other for a minute, the mini Picky starting to tremble.
