(WAKE UP)
Catnap didn't know how long he had laid there. Unbearably cold and exhausted, with pain coursing through his entire body.
He couldn't move, couldn't open his eyes, and couldn't hear anything other than a piercing screech.
Thankfully, he finally opened his eyes, and the screeching disappeared. The sudden brightness blinded him as his eyes slowly opened. He hissed, muffled voices filling his ears.
They seemed to be yelling, fierce and angry. Catnap couldn't tell what they were saying, but they definitely weren't happy.
He tried to move his leg, and instantly yelped in pain. His entire body was shaking, his vision still blurry.
The voices had stopped, everything worryingly silent. A blurry blob came into his view, making the feline turn his head to look at it better.
The blob knelt down, saying something that didn't even sound like words. He squinted at it, trying to resist the urge to close his eyes and give in to sleep.
He opened his mouth, going to talk, but he immediately started coughing. Despite the pain, he turned on his side to heave up whatever was stuck in his throat.
A red and metallic smelling liquid fell to the floor once it escaped his throat. It took him a second to register what it was. Blood.
He swallowed, unintentionally tasting some of the blood still stuck in his throat. There was a lot of it.
He slowly gained his senses enough to feel where most of the pain was, noting the sensation of something wrapped around his throat and left eye.
His knee felt like it had been ripped open in the most brutal way possible. Well, his entire body felt like it had received some awful treatment.
"Hey! Look at me!" A voice said. The feline felt something softly tap their shoulder, almost like a gentle slap.
The feeling of something jumping into his stomach startled him, making him flinch.
"Be careful, I know you're worried, but he needs a minute." The voice softly said.
"Oh! Because he has so much more trama than the rest of us! When did we get our minute to rest, huh?" A female voice yelled, sounding annoyed.
"Hoppy, this isn't the time." The first voice was patient, but stern.
"We need to get rid of him! The minute he gets back to his senses he'll kill us for his stupid god!" The second voice screamed, who had been called Hoppy.
"Guys, let's not fight, okay?" A new voice said, "But I do agree with Hoppy...he won't want to stay."
"You don't know what happened! You all have no idea what you're talking about!" The first voice said, getting defensive.
"Because you won't tell us what happened!" Hoppy's voice shot back.
"W-where..." Catnap started, his voice soft. Though, he didn't continue his question due to the pain in his throat. The room went quiet, and Catnap had the sudden feeling he was being stared at.
"Are you okay?" The first voice asked. Their voice was suddenly soft and gentle, almost like they were talking to a scared child.
At that moment, Catnap's eyes started to focus. The blurring figure above him turning out to be a human with dark brown eyes and a strange contraption on their back.
He looked down to his stomach where a little red bear was sitting, her button eyes showing nothing but concern.
"Can you hear me?" The human asked, it was the first voice from before. Catnap squinted at them, his head slowly tilting in confusion.
