(I love books ❤️. Don't you :3?)
Angel ducked behind a shelf, covering Bomb's mouth so she wouldn't make a sound.
She gave muffled squeaks of protest, and fought Angel's grasp. But there was no way they were letting go.
They were in a ginormous library, shelves and shelves of books were around the room. Most were for the scientists, but a few were children's books.
Catnap walked into the room, smiling. He looked around, his white irises scanning the space around him.
He sighed, "Listen, human. There's no need to be afraid. I'm not going to kill you, just take you on...a little trip." He spoke smoothly, not missing a beat.
Angel wanted to scoff at the cat's lie, but they held it back in the fear that they might be heard.
Angel peaked their head out to look at the large feline, Bomb still squirming in their arms.
Catnap walked further into the room, and stopped right next to a book shelf. He looked around, then knocked it over.
The book shelf collapsed onto the one behind it, setting off a reaction. One fell, then the next, and then another, until it reached the wall.
Each one fell with a loud crash, and a few books and pages went flying into the air because of the force.
"Human, this doesn't have to be so destructive. You could come out, and save all these memories. Ones I have no care for, but still memories." Catnap said, looking into the air thoughtfully.
"I came here a lot with Bubba in our free time. The two of us would look for new things to read." Catnap explained, walking over to a nearby book shelf labeled 'Science'.
He picked up one, turning it over in his paws. He had a small, yet evil smile on his face.
"Bubba always went for the more intellectual books, but I found a little more interest in the horror of everything."
Catnap threw the book in his paws, creating a small crash as it knocked over another stack of books which were on top of a table.
"Have you ever read a horror book? I personally love the part where the bad guys get what they deserved." Catnap said, shrugging.
He walked over to a book shelf, almost right next to where Angel and Bomb were hidden.
He picked up a book, holding it gently.
"I find my life is much like a horror book. I don't remember much from when I was a human kid, but I do know I was wronged. By people like you." Catnap's smile dropped at the last sentence.
"People like you hurt me, they tortured me, thought it was funny to see me suffer in an empty room, all alone. They tested me, and experimented on me."
Catnap took a deep breath, closing his eyes tightly. The book was still in his paws, his claws slightly digging into the hard cover.
"I don't want to hurt you, but it's what must be done. You understand, right? It's for the greater good." Catnap finally spoke, his glowing irises slowly glanced in Angel's direction.
Then they locked eyes, neither of them smiling. They both froze. Angel because the fear. Catnap because he had found his target. He wasn't afraid, never again would he afraid of these creatures.
Bomb suddenly tried to struggle more, attempting to squeak as loud as she could. Catnaps ears shot, and he looked at the mini in the human's arms.
He thought that they might traveling together, but what was this?! That thing had one of his minis held captive! It didn't take a genius to figure out that Bomb wanted to be let go.
