Carla and Lisa

Part 65

It was adoption day for Archie and his family where so excited. The family of four had all of their extended family in the court room with them.

Archie dressed in a little three piece suit. To impress the judge. Lisa was sat holding the little boy with Carla and Betsy on either side of her.

"It seems you are the perfect little family Mrs and Mrs swain. It's evident you love that little boy with all your hearts and after a private conversation with Betsy your daughter it's obvious you will be the perfect mothers for him. The judge started. "It's not often I seen babies so content in people arms and it's obvious Archie is a happy healthy baby who has not only his mothers and sister that loves him but huge extended family who have shown their love for him by being her today. So I am happy to pass the paperwork through of adoption for Archie Aiden Jacob Swain" the judge smiled. Lisa lifted the baby up and let out a little cheer with Carla lifting his arms up like he is cheering. Betsy let out a cheer and was clapping her hands at her brother and their extended family celebrated with them. "Thank you for letting us be a family" Betsy smiled to the judge. "You're welcome. I think it's time for you all to go and celebrate" the judge smiled at the family. Both woman thanked him before heading out of the courtroom a very happy family of four.

After chatting outside the courtroom room they made their way to the car after a greeting to meet with their family the other side of town for some food.

Carla strapped Archie into his car seat before climbing into the drivers side of Lisa's car.

"It's official. We are a family of four" Lisa smiled placing her hand on Carla's thigh as she looked at Betsy through her mirror.

"Tonight I is to put a movie on and cuddle on the sofa." Carla smiled at her wife. "The first night of the rest of our lives"

They made it to the whole family's favourite restaurant. Once they had got Archie into his buggy they made their way inside where everyone awaited them. They of course was late after Archie needed feeding. Lisa's biggest pet peeve of her lovely family was that why where always late. They were relayed on being late. First thanks to her daughter. Then her wife joined the late party. Now little Archie added time onto their plans no matter what.

They were lucky she loved them. Because Lisa's time management skills wouldn't be able to take it if she didn't.

They where sat with their family drinks where officially flowing.

Archie was sat on Ryan's knee the man pulling faces at the baby making him babble. Lisa and Carla were stuck smiling at each other. The broke eye contact and looked around at their extended family.

"Thank you for giving me this Life" lisa whispered to her wife. Pulling her wife's hand onto her thigh.

"Thank you love" Carla smiled squeezing her wife's thingh moving her hand higher.

Just as they went to lean in for a kiss they head Josh drop his fork that was in his hand. Lisa looked up and saw her brother opposite had a shocked look on his face staring at somthing behind her.

Both the blonde and brunette turned around to see an old couple looking at them.

"Lise?" Carla questioned after looking at her wife.

"Mum? Dad?" Josh questioned.

That's when the realisation dawned on Carla and Hayden. Their whole family stopped and turned to look at the couple.

"Joshua." the old man cleared his throat.

The older lady couldn't take her eyes off the blonde in front of her. Lisa too couldn't take her eyes off her even when she felt Carla's hand on her thigh.

"Mum who is this?" Betsy who now had her brother in her arms and was stood next to her blonde mother questioned the blonde.

Her daughter pulled her out of the stare off.

The woman stuttered. Turning to look at her wife then her brother then back to the old woman. Betsy stood up she took a second to clear her throat. But before the words could leave her mouth she looked at Carla and mouthed "I'm sorry" before taking herself to the toilet.

She was sat in the cubicle when she heard somone walk into the toilet.

"Lise. Baby... you gonna let me in" Carla asked from the opposite side of the door. "I can't. They are out there. They are going to do what they did last time and take everything away from me" Lisa sobbed refusing to open the door.

Carla left for a moment asking Michelle to guard the door Before going back into the toilet finding a penny out of her pocket and unlocked the door.

"Oh darling." Carla whispered putting her self on the floor and pulling her wife down into her lap. The blonde pushed her head into Carla's neck.

"Lise. Can you look at me baby?" Carla said after a while. She stopped running her hand through her hair to push her chin up so she was looking at her.

The blonde finally looked at her. "I promise you. Lisa Swain with all my heart. You are not going to lose me because of them. You are not going to lose Betsy. Your not going to loose Archie. Our anyone in our life." Carla told her gently smiling at the way Lisa's eyes shine when she mentioned their children. "Your stuck with us baby" Carla whispered placing a kiss to her wife's lips.

"Now we will talk about all this later. But right now we need to go out there and show Gwen and Jeff who you really are" Carla told her wife.

The blonde gave her a nod and stood herself up. And pulled her wife up with her.

"I love you Carla Swain" Lisa smiled at her wife.

"I love you too."
