Carla and Lisa

Part 69

The women returned home that night to Betsy asleep on their bed with Archie in his basket. Both women's hearts grew at the sight. The girls hand was in his basket he holding onto her.

The women got ready for bed kissing their cheeks before heading to the sofa.

"Officially demoted to the sofa baby" Carla giggled as she lay down opening her arms for Lisa.

"It's a good job it's the comfiest sofa in the world" Lisa smiled as she nuzzles her face into Carla's chest.

"Good night baby I love you" Carla kisses her cheek. "Love you" Lisa mumbles as sleep takes over her.

*BANG*

Both women shot up. Neither of them knew what time it was. They both let out a groan when they heard Betsy swearing. They looked around the room as say Archie staring that the babbling away.

"Good morning my baby" Lisa coos to the boy.
"And good morning my love" Lisa smiled as she settles back down into her wife.

"5 more minutes" Carla mumbled pushing her nose into her wife's hair. "Ok" Lisa whispers.

*BANG*

This time Archie burst into tears. Lisa gets up to scold her daughter whilst Carla tends to their son.
"Oh baby" Carla whispers as she settles him on her chest.

"Betsy. What on earth are you doing?" Lisa asked her daughter.

"Oh. I was going to make you both bacon sandwiches with extra ketchup for mum" Betsy smiled.

"I will leave you too it then love" Lisa kissed the side of her head. "We will talk about what happened with Gwen and Jeff once you've made breakfast"

Walking into the living room she found Carla lay with Archie on her chest. The blanket pulled so that it went to the boys waist. She climbed over so that she was against the back of the sofa wandering to enjoy a little longer cuddled up to her wife.

"What is she upto in there" Carla mumbled tiredly. Eyes still closed fingers linking with hers down by their sides. Lisa's free stand running through the short locks of her son's hair.

"She's making us breakfast" Lisa smiled nuzzling closer to her wife. "Oh no" Carla whispered with a smirk. "Archie baby get ready for the smoke alarm to go off your sister is cooking" Carla giggled.

They heard "I heard that mother!" Coming from the kitchen causing them both to snort.
"Bets has super human hearing like your mama" Lisa smiles stroking the boys cheek.
Archie gave her the biggest smile back. "He's so precious" Carla smiled.

Betsy soon gave them their breakfast both women cuddling up on the sofa with Archie sat on Carla's knee. Betsy in the arm chair. She asked questioned on what happened with Gwen and Jeff and how Lisa felts about it all.

Lisa was honest and explained they were both on edge with it all. Not wanting to trust them just yet. She would want to speak to Josh about it and have more of a chat with Carla. Lisa wasn't desperate to have her parents back in her life. She had done well enough without them for the past 35 years.

Betsy had explained her worries of her mother getting her heart broken again by the older couple. Both Lisa and Carla were proud to see what an amazing young woman she had become.

As the day went on their family slowly started to turn up for a weekend of Lisa's 50th birthday celebrations. She knew the celebrations were happening but didn't know to what extent.

Her wife and daughter have been planning behind her back for months. Even before little Archie came along.

First to arrive was Michelle and Kate. Then Josh and Hayden turned up.
