With the adoption date quickly coming around for Archie the women had fallen into a routine for their family. The took it in turns for who would get up with him in the night. Both enjoying their chances to get a lie in. After they had made sure Betsy was up for uni or work.

Today being the weekend the women had left Betsy to watch Archie whilst they walked sunny. Under strict instructions to call them if she need a them.

They hadn't gone far but both felt they needed to get out the house.

Whilst walking down the street both women chatting about plans for their next holiday hand in hand. They were met by the not so welcoming familiar face of Carla's ex husband Peter.

"Ahh hello Carla" he smiled totally blanking the blonde.

"Peter" Carla groaned as she let out a huff holding her wife's hands that little bit tighter.

"I've just been to your flat. But there was no answer" he informed her.

"Yeah I don't live there anymore" Carla told the man.

"I live in a house with my wife and kids"

"Still playing that game are you?" Peter asked shaking his head at the brunette still not even acknowledging the blonde.

"Fuck off peter" Carla spat back.

"You'll come back one day Carla" Peter smirked as Carla walked around him with her wife and dog in tow.

"Looks like he's back in town" Lisa rolls her eyes.

"You know. I have days I feel guilty for not telling him About Archie. Then he does that and now I feel fine again. Like we have made the right decision" Carla huffed. Now in a mood from bumping into her ex.

Lisa grabbed her wife's hand and pulled her along the pavement still ranting about the man. Lisa knew she and Carla would be having a serious conversation about the man tonight once she had calmed.

"He knows I don't live there anymore from last time he visited! And how dare he insult you like that..." Carla continued to rant having been ranting all the way home.

She stopped on her tracked when she saw Betsy with Archie.

"Betsy what is my son wearing?" Carla gasped looking at her daughter. Lisa had to bite back her laugh from the sight of their son.

"I thought it would be funny to dress him as a rapper" Betsy giggled still taking photos of her brother lay on his play mat.

"Oh my innocent baby boy" Carla cooed. Picking him up. The boy smiling when he saw his mummy.

"Oh Betsy. A grey Nike track suit. With air force. How much did this cost you?" Lisa laughed looking at the little boy who was babbling.

"50 quid" Betsy whispered as she started the run out the room

"50 quid!" Lisa choked. It was then Mason came down their stairs with a little hat to go with the outfit.

"Mason Radcliffe. If you were even thinking of putting that hat on my son. You will be banned from this house" Carla grumbled. Lisa took the baby from her wife's arms.

"Hey bubs" Lisa smiled at the baby.

Who smiles widely back at her. "Mumma loves you baby boy. I do. Even if your sister has dressed you as a rapper" Lisa smiled to her son.

"Would you be more mad if I lied?" Betsy asked his girlfriend's mother. "Say no mase" Betsy whispered. The boy looked over to Lisa who nodded in agreement with her daughter.

"No carla this hat wasn't for Archie" mask said quickly.

"Then who was that thing for?!" Carla demanded.

"The cat?" Mason said pulling a confused face to his girlfriend.

Carla let out a huff before stomping up The stairs.
"What's up with her?" Betsy asked her mother once the coast was clear.

"We bumped into Peter on our walk. He still has a thing for her. She ranted the full 20 minute walk home" Lisa told her daughter rubbing her forehead with her free hand.

"What do you say bubs shall we get changed before mummy has a breakdown" Lisa asked the smiling baby.

"Mum can as take a few photos of him with the hat first" Betsy asked with a wide grin giving her puppy dog eyes.

"Be quick" Lisa smiled. Joining in with the pictures laughing with her daughter and Mason.

Leaving Archie in the not so responsible hands of Betsy and Mason to change his clothes Lisa went and found her wife who was lay on their bed scrolling through her phone.

"Hey" Lisa smiled as she stepped into the room. Carla responded with a weak smile. Then went back to her phone.

"Have you processed everything?" Lisa questioned as she walked over to Carla's side of the bed. The brunette nodded before finally shutting off her phone. Carla moved her legs so her wife could sit down. The woman quickly took the hint and wrapped her arm around the woman's bent legs.

"Wanna talk about it?" Lisa questioned. Carla nodded before she let out a sob. Lisa quickly pulled her in for a cuddle.

"I don't know why he's got to me that much" she sniffled after a while.

"I hate he's still making you feel this way he has no right to" Lisa whispered running her hands through her hair.

"If he had left all insults to just being about me I would have just shrugged them off. But when he started to talk about my family. I don't want anyone in this family to feel as small as he Made me feel over the years we were together" Carla explained honestly.

"Hey. That isn't going to happen with you on our side car. You're the rock of this family. You fight every day to make sure the three of us know we are loved. I appreciate everything you do for me and our kids. U just wish you knew how amazing you are my love" Lisa told her wife firmly. Holing her head between her hands keeping eye contact with her wife.

"Hey you have to cut yourself some slack as well Lise. I may give the best cuddles but you give us the best talks. You're the best hype woman anyone could ever ask for" Carla smiled.

"I will always be your hype woman car"

"I love you so much baby" Carla smiled kissing Lisa on the lips.

"I love you too. So so much" the blonde instantly replied.

"Now you going to come downstairs. I think bets is dressing arch up as superhero's now" Lisa told her wife.

"Oh my poor baby" Carla groaned
