Lisa had become closer to her parents this past 8 months. They seemed to be making more of an effort with her. They were still cold with Carla at times and the rarely saw Betsy and Archie. Which was both women's choices.
Betsy had stated she didn't want anything to do with the 'old cows'. She had witnessed the pain they had brought to her mother's life so some many years and to be honest. Carla thought the same. Not that she would say that to her wife's face. After all they were Lisa's Blood.
Slowly Carla would be invited less to their meals. The older couple saying they wanted to spend time with their daughter.
"Leese are you sure you're ok on your own?" Carla asked one day watching her het dressed from the bed with sonny and Cassie at her feet.
"I'm sure. They just want to spend time with me and Josh" Lisa smiles as she leaned over to kiss her wife before fetching Archie from his room.
He returned back some time later with the boy in her arms she was swinging him around gently singing die with a smile to him. Their wedding song.
"I'm not saying that that's not their intention love I'm just saying. I want you to be careful" Carla restated the argument. Before Turing her head and placing a kiss to Archie cheeky. "Good Afternoon bubba. Did you have a good nap?"
The boy nodded his head and crawled off his mumma lap to go sit with sonny and Cassie.
"I don't need you to tell me to be careful Carla they are my parents. I do know how to deal with them" Lisa argued becoming annoyed with her wife.
"I never said that Lisa. I said I want you to be careful with them still" Carla said back trying to defuse the situation.
Lisa rolled her eyes obviously still annoyed grumbling "yeah what ever" the blonde went to walk out the room.
"Lisa Swain get your arse back in here." Carla demanded.
"What!" Lisa snapped stomping back into the room.
"What was our first promise to each other all them years ago?"
"To never leave the house on an argument" Lisa huffed pushing her hair back.
Carla stood up from the bed in front on her wife. Her hand coming to the back of the blondes neck.
"I'm sorry" Lisa huffs leaning her head forward against Carla's shoulder.
"Me too" Carla whispered back. "I just want you to be ok"
"Me too" Lisa replied looking up at her wife. "Please just trust me on this" Lisa begged.
"Ok" Carla mouthed as she leaned in for a gentle kiss.
"I love you leese. So so much" Carla smiled to her wife.
"I love you too baby. More than life" Lisa replied placing one last kiss to her wife's lips before heading out the door.
Carla and Archie waved to her as she drove away.
"She is always in a bad mood when she meets with those a rotten bags" Betsy huffed as she stood next to her mum.
" I know love. I know" Carla smiled sadly to her daughter.
"And she's in an even worst mood when gets back" Betsy huffed as she blocked her self down on the sofa sonny jumping on her for cuddles.
"Bets she missed out for a long time on having a parent. Someone to guide her. She's obviously missed it and she needs time with them to make up for last time. Lucky for you you've had 3 super amazing mums in your life" Carla replied sitting next to her daughter. Placing a hand around her neck.
