Carla was sat with Archie when she noticed something different. Something missing.
Something that made her feel lost.

She had no wedding and engagement ring on.
Shit.

Why did she not have them on?

"Mumma ok?" Archie asked feeling his mumma panicking whilst sat on her knee.

"Yes bubba. Mumma needs to look for her rings"
She ran upstairs into the bathroom. She normally took them off for a shower. But she didn't shower this morning.

"Noooo!" She whined at the top of the stairs.

"Mum! What's up?" Betsy shouted from her room.

Carla walked sadly into the room to see her daughter and Mason sat on the bed.

"I've lost my rings" Carla mumbled.

"I'm sure they will turn up" Betsy smiled.

"No I've lost my wedding and engagement ring" Carla sobbed.

"Shit" Betsy said in an instant.

"I know" Carla sat on the bed. "I'm officially a dead woman. You mums always telling me off for taking them off for a shower or for bed" Carla huffed as her head fell into her hands that felt empty.

"No no don't cry we will find them. Won't we bets" Mason smiled as he stood up.

"I will take the kitchen. Bets you get Archie to help in the living room. Carla search your room and the bathroom" Mason instructed them. Betsy nodded before hopping off the bed and rubbing down stairs.

"Betbet. Mumma still sad?" The both asked when his sister walking into the room.

"Arch I need your help" the boy nodded eagerly. "I need you to look for mamas rings. You know her wedding rings" the boy nodded not completely sure but wanting to help.

Some time later Carla was on the couch. Tissue in hand. She had given up. The rest of them hadn't.

The door opened and everyone went silent. Hoping it wasn't going to be Lisa.

Luckily it was Ryan that walked through the door to the living room.

"Heyyy." He smiled. Then he felt the tension in the room and his auntie crying. "What's happened?"

"Mums lost her wedding and engagement ring. She's given up and feeling sorry for herself" Betsy told him honestly earning her a scowl from Carla.

"Are you still looking" Ryan asked. Both side and Archie nodded in unison shop together with her hands on their hips.

"God it strange how alike you both are" Ryan shivered before starting to help looking for them.

They had looked high and low when the front door opened. Lisa walked in immediately feeling the tension in the room.

"Hey. What's happened" she questioned looking at her wife who quickly stood up. Tears still in her eyes.

"Oh no" Betsy muttered scooping her baby brother up.

"I... can't please don't get mad" Carla begged walking towards her wife.

"That depends on what you're about to tell me" Lisa chocked a laugh.

"I.. well I sort have lost my ring" Carla sobbed.

"You mean this ring?" Lisa smirked holding up her right hand where Carla's wedding rings sat on her ring finger.

"What" Carla huffed.

"I think we should do upstairs" Betsy muttered to her brother boyfriend and cousin.

"Why do you have my rings?!" Carla argued with her wife.

"You left them off after your bath last night. I've told you so many times you don't need to take your rings off. So I thought I would teach you a lesson" Lisa smirked again.

"I've turned this flaming house upside down looking for them Lisa!"

"My plan worked then"

Carla huffed and held out her hand for them back. Lisa quickly slipped them off and placed them back on their belonging finger.

"You're a dick" Carla groaned as Lisa kissed the rings on her finger.

"Love you too darling" Lisa joked pulling her wife in for a kiss who turned her head so her lips landed on her cheek. "Baby" Lisa whined.

"You've had me panicking all day. I've cried for a hour. And you hand them on your finger all along"

"Car I've told you so many times to put your rings back on." Lisa argued back not letting go of her wife's waist.

"You're still a dick" Carla huffed looking down at her rings back where they belong.

"You won't take them off again though will you" Lisa smiled clearly pleased with her self.

"I just don't want to damage them" Carla replied finally looking her wife in the eye.

"Trust me. You won't damage them. Just wear them. I don't like people not knowing your mine"

"Lise trust me. People know I'm yours" Carla smiled kissing her wife pushing her down into the sofa.

"I can't believe you was so worried to tell me" Lisa smirked kissing her wife as she was pulled down.

"Shut up swain"

Betsy started to hear down stairs when she saw her blonde mum on top of her brunette mum snogging her. She quickly turned around. "Mummy and Mumma are abit busy at the moment bubba"as she turned around and ushered all three men in her life back upstairs.
