Amarion

Silence and darkness. My two companions.

I don't know where I was. Just numb and still.

My last sight was Amour's face. She was there all the time. Tears were rolling down her countenance, every time I opened my eyes to assure her I'll be fine.

I was unconscious for a while after I heard Ame speak to me. But the commotion and pain kept waking me. Dim lights and beeps filled the small space I was in. I had no energy to remain conscious. I could see flashes of the live scenes. My eyelids continued betraying me. Amour's hand was holding mine. It gave so much comfort to me though the ache had overtaken me. The warmth seemed to be travelling straight from my fingers to my heart. Her soft touch acted as a constant reminder of our love. I was in an enigmatic state yet I could fully understand her by just her presence. Her sight was invigorating.

I have no idea how many people were in there and who were aiding me. All I was acknowledged of was my angel who was by my side, crying and hoping for me to be alright. The first time I opened my eyes, the astray strands of her hair oscillated as she looked down at me. Her lips were pink and swollen from wailing. I captured her beauty and closed my eyes again. She clasped my hand and whispered my name. I endeavoured a nod.

The second time I opened my eyes, she was biting her lip and her eyes were glossy. Her cheeks were flushed and her eyelashes damp. She looked endearing. I couldn't visualise further and my eyelids veiled my sight repeatedly. I wanted to stare at her for an infinity. I willed to lock my gaze at her adorable face. But to my dismay, the twinges were drowning me. I could only see her figure fluoresce forth my eyes. Abruptly, the surroundings began spinning.

Amour's fingers slipped from mine for a brief moment. I brought all of my force together and tried reaching for her. I couldn't bare the thought of her being gone but again, my subconscious was proved wrong. Her slender fingers found their way back to mine. And that little touch brought mild animation in me. That small connection was my lifeline. And the reason I was fighting with the incomprehensible affliction. I felt my body being carried out but I didn't care where I was taken to until she accompanied.

The petty energy I had, seemed to be dispersing. My senses functioned with inconsistency. I could hear faint hullabaloo but amongst all of those voices, my ears concentrated on Amour's. She was sobbing and whispering to me. "You'll be alright, we'll be alright. I won't let anything happen to you." Her words, her touch, her presence and her love were fuel to keep the fire of my entity alive. I parted my eyes to glance the life-giving and nonpareil soul who fortunately loved me. Her eyes were dreary and appeared to be losing the revitalising spark they had gained. I moved my lips with a lot of effort and murmured "I love you". She smiled and replied "I love you too". That movement of her lips somewhat relieved me. It made me realise that she had the strength of enduring the loss of her endearment. I know, she'd survive the lamentation. She was her own knight. Destiny would never be able to penetrate her mighty armour. She has made it once, she can make it again. I summoned a smile and closed my eyes. Glad that my last sight was of Amour's, my love.

I unwillingly shut my vision and allowed myself to settle with the dragging tenebrosity and tranquillity.

Gradually, I became lost in the gloom. I didn't know, if I was alive or dead. But my perception had come to an ultimate rest. As if I was asleep, a painful sleep. My body had gotten used to the throe. Yet the agony of leaving her behind alone, caused stitches in my heart. She was strong and brave yet fragile and naive. She was like a beautiful ribbon when I had seen her first but when I touched her, I realised how internally worn out she was. She had been putting her weak threads together which was revealed only by a touch. It was as if she had been waiting for someone to look past the attraction. As if she was impatient to be tied into a bow. Then of her disintegration, someone would know. The close proximity exposed her torn surface. She appeared silky and shiny while beneath she was rough and ripped. All along she wished that someone would sew her up. For new threads, she longed. Her luster was fading and her bonding was detaching. Just a few stitches of love was all that she needed. Finally, when she had found the mending strings, the needle seemed to be breaking.

Would this ribbon never get tied into a bow? Would she shred her threads and fall to the ground? To join the needle that laid in two pieces on the floor. Was she made to lay solemnly? Did she exist to be pinned and forgotten? A different hue with a solitary purpose. Was she to be rendered until her splinters get blown by a gust of wind? Would the needle mend her or would it rust? Or was it noble? Perhaps, it was a new formation.
I drifted off to a place far away from my utopia. Somewhere so distant that I had no idea if I'd ever return. All I knew was that Amour would bring me back. She would tie herself around the shattering needle. Fate wouldn't put us apart. I couldn't feel her touch but I knew, she was there by my side. Watching me sleep and contemplate. Various thoughts must be roaming in her beautiful mind. Her lips must be busy praying. Every movement of her tongue might be forming words to plead for my survival. Her heart would be beating with jeopardy. Her breath waiting for me to take it away. And I know, she'd be still there even if I was to never wake up. Because she loves me and love is immortal.

Love is not a nonentity but imperishable and unrivalled.
