As I planted kisses on his neck, something crimson caught my eye. I lowered the cloth to have a better look. The heart he made out of my gore yet stained his chest. Some of the curvy portions of it had diminished and disappeared. The 'A' lay amidst of it, prominent and complete. The blood had dried and changed its colour but the heart still looked beautiful. I traced it with my fingers and smiled. The sight of it reminded me of the cathartic and unpredictable moments I had. I leaned forward and kissed in the middle of the heart, on the 'A' of 'Amarion' and 'Amour'.
Amarion
Her soft fingers moved along my skin. With each touch of hers, my heartbeat increased. It felt as if my heart was attached to her fingers with strings and she could pull it. I had my eyes closed, fully focusing on feeling her against me. Abruptly, she kissed on my chest, driving me insane. My grip on her hair tightened. Having her next to me was like a dream come true. I wanted to love her crazily and bring her as closer as possible but I didn't want to scare her away or make it uncomfortable for her. Surprisingly, she was more comfortable than I thought she'd be. She didn't flinch nor did I see the fear that I had seen in her eyes whenever I came close to her. She wasn't chained anymore. Thantophobia kept her from moving on. She had had locked herself in the abstract prison. The thickening bars of it were the barrier between her and her feelings. The walls she had built up seemed nearly impossible to be brought down. I had done all I could to at least penetrate it. But just an inferno destroyed the gloomy abandonment. She fought the fear that made her desert her sentiments, the fear of losing the one she loved. And it was a privilege to be the one she loved.
The feeling of her soft lips against my skin was utopian. She was filling me with life, unknowingly.
"Amarion, this looks like a tattoo, a lovely tattoo" she said as she once again ran her fingers over the clotted blood. I hummed in response. I felt guilty because it was made from her blood which she had shed to save me. She deserved to be bled for.
"Why did you make this though?" She asked adorably. Her curiosity fuelled my thoughts.
"Because when I touched your wound and as your blood stained my fingertips, I realised that you suffered the pain for me. Each drop of gore that left your body was due to me. I didn't feel like wiping away the love and sacrificing efforts of yours. So, I just put it in its rightful place" I answered truthfully. It did hurt me a lot to see her injured both physically and mentally, because of me. I looked into her eyes, waiting for a response.
"And what does it stand for?" She questioned. Her brown eyes conveyed how eager she was to know how much she mattered to me. I could tell by her face that my words were the things she had been longing to listen.
I smiled and replied "This heart denotes your guarding emancipation and the 'A' in the middle is our 'Eternal love', 'Amarion Amour'. I made it on my chest because this is where you belong" and gestured on my heart.
She smiled whole-heartedly and placed her hands on my cheeks. "I've never felt more loved and valued. I'm glad that you're mine. And I eternally want to be with you, even if it means facing flames or wrathful waves. I'll always be yours" she replied, making me want to shower her with kisses.
"I'll be yours too, always" I said and rubbed my nose on hers. She giggled.
"And I don't know about fire or water or whatever but you'll surely have to face the heat and tsunami of my kisses" I stated and allowed her to giggle before I crashed my lips on hers.
Her gentle lips pressed mine and of course made me greedier. I caressed them with my tounge and gradually continued the snog. No matter how deeper I got, it just wasn't adequate. Even an infinite kisses wouldn't be enough. I needed her more with every move. It'd never be ample. Damn!
We continued canoodling until the phone suddenly rang.
"What's it?" I asked lazily.
"The phone" Amour replied moving away from the embrace.
She looked at the clock on the wall and almost yelped "4:45already?" .
"Oh! We did lose track of time" I replied.
"Yeah! We were in another track" she winked and smiled. Honestly, I felt so happy to see her playful and lively side. She appeared liberated. It was surprising how shy she was before and how comfortable she had become.
She reached for the mobile phone on the table and answered.
"Yeah?" She said.
"Okay, I'll be there" she continued and hung up.
"What?" I asked as I knew she was going to leave.
"I have to go babe" she whispered.
"Can't you stay for a little longer?" I whined.
"I'd love to but your mother will be waking up soon" she reasoned and placed her hand on my cheek.
I hummed in response and pouted.
"Aww" she smiled and kissed on the tip of my nose.
"I have died everyday waiting for you" I crooned while caressing her cheek.
"Darling don't be afraid" she sang back.
"I have loved you for a thousand years" I continued and smiled.
"And I'll love you for a thousand more" she intoned softly and beamed.
I engulfed her into a hug and kissed on the crook of her neck.
"I'll miss you. Take care" I said and rubbed her back.
"I'll miss you too. You take care as well" she replied and kissed on my cheek.
"And do get your head checked. Something did hit you" she joked and I chuckled.
She moved away but my hands still rested on her back. She smiled at me and raised her eyebrows as if asking me to leave her. I closed my eyes and sighed. Unwillingly, I allowed her to go. She carefully stepped on the ground and adjusted the hospital gown she was wearing. Even with her hair dishevelled and clothes wrinkled, she looked beautiful. I just stared at her as she ran her fingers through her hair. She leaned down and pecked on my forehead. I returned the kiss and muttered an 'I love you'.
"Love you too" she replied and began to leave but I caught her hand.
"Amarion, baby let me go" she spoke gently.
I kissed on her hand and smiled.
"Okay love" I responded.
She blushed and gradually slid her fingers from mine. I watched as she walked towards the door. I didn't want to let her go but I had to. She opened the door slowly and gave me a glance and smiled, the memory of her smiling at me for the first time flashed in my mind. Back then, it did rose a magical feeling in me but I had never thought that her smile would become my enchantment. Her beam enlightened my world. I waved at her and gazed as she left. And suddenly, the room felt murky. As if she had my life with her. When she came I was invigorated and as she went, all of my entity was gone.
I closed my eyes and recalled the moments I just had.
I kept my hand on the heart I made on my chest.
"When, how and why did I fell for her so hard?" I questioned myself.
A smile played on my lips as the answer I had given Amour reverberated in my mind.
"The answer to the question 'why' is incomprehensible or maybe even nonexistent".
She was right, something really did hit my head.
