I was in the driveway when Amarion came looking for me. He had assumed that I had been talking on the phone with my mother throughout the time I wasn't in the house, but it had been a few minutes. He had excitedly brought me up to his room to tell something important. I was glad he didn't know what I had been contemplating about.
"Okay, so you said right that I shouldn't hide anything from you" he said happily.
His words hit me. I had asked him to not conceal things from me and I was trying to hide the issue Jade had raised. But how could I tell him? I knew how Amarion would react and it would be like fueling the fire.
"Hey?" He waved his hand forth my eyes.
"Yeah, sorry" I said as I left my storm of thoughts.
"Something bothering you?" He asked and looked into my eyes.
"Nothing, I was just wondering what next thing you'll be revealing" I lied with a smile. It felt so bad to lie to my angel but it was for the better of him.
"Don't worry! It isn't anything like before" he chuckled and there was some sort of amusement in his eyes.
I giggled in response and pinched his cheek. He blushed due to my touch.
"Well, I told about us" he continued and I furrowed my eyebrows, expecting that he would say his best friend's name. But what came next had my eyes gaped and jaw dropped.
"To mom" he beamed.
"To who?" I almost yelled.
What did he just do? What would she be thinking of me? Perhaps that I was trapping her son, I was playing sweet to gradually creep into their lives. What would she wonder about my family? My parents?
I panicked. My throat dried and no words seem to form on he tip of my tongue.
"Mom" Amarion whispered as he saw my extreme nervousness.
"What would she be thinking of me?" I questioned with worry.
"Same as before, even better" he replied with a smile.
"And how can you say that?" I asked horrified.
"She almost squealed when I told her about us" he answered and I raised an eyebrow.
"I am not exaggerating. She was so happy, I could see in her eyes that she wanted this" he continued with glee.
"Wanted this?" I became confused.
"Don't tell me you haven't noticed her efforts?" He giggled.
"Efforts? Please elaborate, you're confusing me" I whined.
"Amour, didn't you notice how she looks at us? How she leaves us together more often? How did she convince your mother to leave you here?" He replied.
"She told that you'll be away for two weeks" I replied, things started to clear out.
"But I am not" he said and smirked.
"Why do you think she left you in the kitchen with me? Couldn't she show you the book later or take her with you?" He raised questions after questions.
"Why did she leave us both in the house alone?" He continued and it struck me.
"And why was she looking at the door of your room and me when you had locked yourself yesterday?" I questioned.
"Exactly" he said and looked at me.
"Oh my God!" I excalimed.
"She wanted us" he said and held my cheeks with his hands.
