Amarion
Darkness veiled my vision. All I could hear was silence. The pain had faded. My breathing wasn't heavy but I felt a weight on my chest. But the commotion and the fraught, seemed to be far away from me. The worry and panic had left. I felt calm, only calm. My skin sensed no breeze, my ears didn't hear a sound and my eyes saw nothing but black. Though my heart beat was steady and my mind produced various thoughts. I couldn't decide if I was asleep or awake.
"Amarion?" The honey like voice called me. Suddenly, I witnessed sparkles and a white light gleamed over a lovely figure. Her curly hair reached her hips and the white dress covered half of her thighs, looking lovelier than usual. She was far from me. She looked at me and smiled. The urge of diminishing the distance between us rose inside of me. I didn't feel my feet moving. All I could sense was the palpitation of my heart. And the only sight I could visualise was her angelic presence. Gradually, I approached her and she turned to me. I gazed into her brown eyes. They shone with vitality. I looked down and witnessed my hand in hers. But I couldn't feel it. She moved her thumb across my cheek and whispered something but I couldn't hear her. I furrowed my eyebrows to convey my bewilderment. She smiled and brought her rosey lips on mine. As she kissed me, all of my senses became alive. My ears could hear her deep breathing, my skin began feeling her softness, life mixed with my blood and the deadness in my veins was gone.
She surprised me by moving away. Her fingers slowly untangled from mine. I looked down at my hand which felt warm due to her touch. But as she slipped her hand from mine, the coldness gradually returned. I shifted my gaze to her face but what I saw was a swirl of dust and scattered light. Gradually, darkness covered my eyes and I felt my body dropping.
Everything went calm again. I felt awake. Was that a dream? But the touches felt so real. Was Ame there with me? I needed to wake up in order to answer my own questions.
I tried opening my eyes but I was unable to move. I sensed Amour's hands on my torso. She was there. She shook me but I couldn't respond. For a while, I didn't feel her. Maybe, she was gone? No, she couldn't leave me. I attempted to move but failed again. Suddenly, her fragile hands held my head and placed it on something soft. Her lap perhaps. The twinge in my leg was inconstant. But with Ame close to me, I somehow bear it.
"Help!" She shouted. Her voice was a little hoarse from crying previously. I could barely hear the other noises but her heavy breath and desperate cries echoed in my ears. My body felt lighter and my respiration grew slower. She yelled again and again. I wanted to get up and embrace her. I willed to tell her that I'm okay, we're okay. But my body refused to obey. She shouted on the top of her lungs. She was distraught and all I could do was lay, breath and think. I felt helpless. I had to get up. My damn body couldn't betray me. Why? Why was this happening? Though I couldn't speak a word yet my inners were screaming. I required to break the painful silence. I wanted to do more than just being still. "Anyone! Please!" She yelled and her voice cracked in the end. That crack broke my heart. I wished to get up with immense force and hug her, whisper in her ear that we're fine, kiss her damp cheeks and wipe those tears of her beautiful face. Unfortunately, I could just lay and listen to her agonising pleads.
She became silent for a brief moment and then continued with the calls for aid. She tried to move as my head slightly misplaced from her lap. But she settled back with a whimper. Was she in pain? Physical pain? What about the blood I had seen? Was she Injured too? Of course she was.
"Here!" She exclaimed. Was someone there? I felt her soft hands resting on my neck. I struggled to get up but it was worth nothing. I sensed someone stretching out my leg and the ache grew rapidly as they did that. Soon, more people seemed to gather around us. Amour stayed close to me and I was glad she did. But her hands kept reaching for me and pulling away. "He'll be fine.." a stranger's rough voice stated but I couldn't hear him properly. "Let her...him" "But she.. injured...". A lot of voices spoke together. They made it difficult for me to listen to Amour. Her hand grabbed mine tightly, as to make me know she was there.
The pain rose and was dragging me to complete unconsciousness. I had to remain half awake. At least, by hearing her voice and feeling her, I could know she was there with me and safe. But if I pass out absolutely, I'd have no clue of her. The day couldn't get any more impotent. The people lifted me and placed me on to a stretcher or something while I struggled not to fall asleep. Amour's breath fanned my countenance and her moist lips kissed my cheek. Little teardrops rested on my face. She must be wailing too badly. The emotional and physical agony must be drowning her. With whatever energy I had left, I attempted to open my eyes. Finally, I was able to have a narrow gaze. Her lovely countenance was stained with tears, her hair remained astray, her alluring eyes were bloodshot and her lips were swollen and quivering. Was she thinking that I'm going to die? What if I was actually going to end? Was Amour witnessing her love in jeopardy again? What if I don't make it?
Amour parted her lips and said those comforting words which I needed to listen, the words which answered all of my thoughts and restored my faith.
"We'll make it"
Her voice reverberated in my ears and travelled to my reluctant brain and my mourning heart. My soul which assumed that it was its time to depart, stayed in its spot. The emerging conclusion of my life dismounted. There was hope. I glanced at her beauty one last time and closed my eyes. My perception came to a rest.
"Impotent witnessing of love in peril is followed by lamentation and throes".
