Amour
Two days have passed since Amarion called me. Those four words wander my mind. Very dark, lovely spark.
Is he the revitalising flame to irradiate the dense murk in my life? We were present together during various occasions. There must be a connection. He grew immensely fond of me just within a few months. Maybe dole has decided to make up to me as I've invariably blamed it for my agonising heartbreak.
I feel like laughing at myself. Because from the past few days I've been asking the same questions to myself. I'm the one baffling my own brain. I'm waiting for a signal by my heart. And I've no idea when it'll be approaching.
I haven't heard a word from Jade. I thought she owed me an apology? I don't expect one from her though.
Dad asked me to visit a shopping complex with him today. I got dressed in a white shirt and blue jeans. The strap of my bag rested on my shoulder. The same bag Amarion rescued twice. I smiled at the memories.
Mom handed me a list of things to be bought while she was staying at home to prepare dinner for the guests. I followed dad to the car and sat on the passenger's seat. I read the list twice and shoved it into my bag.
The car started moving and I stared out of the window. The month of October had began and the shift in the weather could be witnessed. Just a month away from winter. I despise the cold weather. It doesn't snow here. Only frigid wind blows. Shivers, laziness and flu is what I receive from the frosting season. Although I'm born in severe winter. It is also the time when I fell in love for the first time. Making it both, memorable and tragic.
While we waited for the signal to turn green, my dad's cellphone rang. He answered it and after hanging up he said "you have to go to the market alone. I have some work nearby".
"Okay. Leave me there and I'll give you a call when I'm done" I agreed whilst checking if my phone wasn't dead. Dad nodded and continued driving. I opened my messages and re read the texts from Amarion. Our last message was from the day I visited his house. One night can change so much! I never thought that he'd be confessing his deep feelings for me. That incident is yet a dream to me.
Fluorescent lights reflected the screen of my mobile. I looked up and realised that we had reached the destined market. I got off the car and reminded dad that I'd be calling him soon. He waved at me and warned me to be careful. I rolled my eyes mentally and nodded. I headed for the gate of the mall while his car paced away. The place was huge and the things I was supposed to purchase were displayed at a vast distance from each other. I gripped the strap of my bag and pulled my shirt downwards in order to cover my hips. My hair were done into a messy braid while the other girls there seemed to be walking straight out of a salon. I ignored the over fashionable brats who gazed at me. I couldn't figure out what was their problem?
I swiftly made my way through the entrance. As I looked around the area, I instantly felt dizzy. The entire place was flooded with people. I smacked my forehead when I read the banners around. "50% to 75% Sale".
Amarion
These two days couldn't feel any longer. Ever since she told me that she is contemplating about my proposal, I've grown more impatient. She seemed deeply touched by my last call. That window of hope has let in some sunlight. I wishes she answers soon. There is nothing more I'd wish for than having her in my arms. I mostly recall the moment she hugged me out of excitement. That little frame with those four magical words are the first thing I see every morning. Very dark, lovely spark.
I want to be that glimmer who lights her drab path. I will to be the sight her eyes consistently seek. I wish to be the air she breathes, her reason to live and harmony for her soul.
All I need is a chance to prove her that there is no one who would keep her happier.
"Amarion?" Mom called and opened the door of my room. I quickly got off the bed and responded "yes?"
"Will you please go to the market with Jade and Lily. There is some sale and they wanted to buy something. Dad and I have to visit your aunt" mom rambled and I sighed. "Okay I'll" I agreed and headed for my closet. I wore a black t-shirt while mom appreciated my obedience. I left the room with her and glared at Jade as she emerged from the door of her room. I haven't been speaking to her since I threatened her. Even she hadn't made an attempt to start a conversation with me. Better for her.
Lily yelled from downstairs. Eagerness was evident in her voice. I descended the stairs in a trice. Jade followed me silently. I waved at mom and grabbed Lily's hand. She mumbled about what she had planned to buy. I guided both of my sisters to the car. I buckled the belt of Lily's seat and did mine next. I knew which mall they wanted to visit. I've been there countless times with my family. To be honest, I felt extremely bored there.
After a lot of searching and mental cursing, I found an empty parking space. I insisted the girls to have their shopping done quickly. Lily giggled while Jade continued with her silence. I locked the car and shoved the keys into my pocket. I walked behind my sisters while keeping an eye out on the people around. We rushed to the gate and made our way inside. My jaw dropped open when I saw the numerous people roaming. There wasn't a vacant place available.
I hit my palm on my forehead. Why did I even agree to come here?
