A soft light teased my eyes. I buried my head in Amarion's chest to hide from it. But after a while Amarion shifted and laid on his back. I groaned sleepily and tried opening my eyes. The sunlight made it difficult. I looked at Amarion with my one eye open. His face was sunlit and his complexion had the sheen of gold. The sleepy dust in the corners of his eyes appeared as crusted amber. His rosy lips were very slightly parted. As if he was breathing light. The messy hair of his, laid astray on his forehead. Their true color was manifest under the radiance of the sun. I stared at the sheer angel. His countenance reflected innocence, making him more loveable. I smiled with love.

The allurement of his existence and the angelic soul were my treasures, guarded by my life. He had suddenly become everything of mine.

Gradually, the sunlight had started disturbing him too. I giggled as he squeezed his eyes and swallowed deeply. I slowly got off the bed and slid the curtains. I turned back and gazed at my love, who looked much peaceful than before. I gently slipped under the covers again and rested my head on his arm. I scooted closer to him and closed my eyes, drifting to sleep.

I had no idea after how long but I heard the door creaking and some rattling. I reached out my arms for Amarion but didn't find him. I opened my eyes and saw the sheet dishevelled. Someone lifted the cover from my body.

"Good morning love" his loving voice greeted.

"Good morning Amarion" I smiled as I saw him.

"So, how did you sleep?" He asked and kissed my forehead.

"Never slept better" I replied and got up.

He smiled at me and whispered "me too".

I engulfed him into a hug and planted a kiss on his neck.

As I was embracing him, I saw a tray with tea cups on the coffee table.

"What's that?" I asked as I pulled away.

"I got you some bed-tea" he beamed.

"Aw! You didn't have to trouble yourself" I pouted and pulled his cheek gently.

"It wasn't a problem, really" he stroked my jawline with his fingers and replied.

"I love you" I said in a hushed tone.

"I love you too" he half smiled.

"I'm sorry for waking up late. I did get up before but.." I apologised and stopped mid sentence when I realised why I had slept back.

"But?" He asked.

"Ended up staring at you" I replied and pursed my lips.

"Oh my God! I must be looking hilarious" he exclaimed and looked away in embarrassment.

"No! You looked so angelic and alluring. I couldn't resist. So, I slept again" I apprised him while taking his face in my hand.

He looked at me suspiciously.

"Really you did. Your face was sunlit and you appeared as sheer golden angel, my priceless treasure" I continued.

He smiled from ear to ear. "I love the way you behold" he said and pecked my lips.

I shyly smiled and gazed into his eyes. I could see how overwhelmed he was. But what I had said wasn't even a letter for his appreciation. He was far too worthy.

"Go freshen yourself and take your clothes. I brought the bag here" he informed and gestured at my bag.

I nodded and thanked him. I took my clothes and went to the washroom. After getting dressed and brushing my teeth I came out.

"You look beautiful" Amarion complimented as he saw me in the violet top and black leggings. My hair were done into a ponytail.

"Thank you. You look handsome aswell" I returned the compliment but he actually did look charming in the sea green shirt he was wearing.

"Tea?" He asked.

"Sure" I said.

"Have a seat" he gestured at the couch.

I settled down and he handed me the cup.

"You're such a sweetheart" I whispered and kissed his cheek as he sat beside me.

"Always for you" he replied.

"So, what are we going to do today?" I asked.

"I've got lots of things on mind" he smirked.

"Great" I replied.

I saw my cellphone lying on the table. I quickly picked it up and looked for any notifications but there were none. I dialled my dad's number and then my mom's but none of them answered. I grew worried for them.

"What happened honey?" Amarion asked as he saw me panicked.

"My parents are not answering their cellphones" I said impatiently.

"They must be busy. Don't worry" Amarion assured but I couldn't stop worrying.

"Yeah but it's been long and they should be answering. They haven't even contacted me since last night" I rambled.

"Amour it's okay. Try again later" he kept his palm on my cheek.

I nodded and carried on with my tea. Amarion talked about his best friend trying to divert my mind. We had a conversation for some time but then my mind went back to them.

"They haven't responded yet" I said out of the blues.

"Ame? They'll call back" He took my hands in his.

"Why are you worrying so much?" He questioned again.

"You know why" I replied in monotone.

He looked at me in bewilderment.

"Sorry. I mean you know how much I fear losing my loved ones. It's just that fright which makes me restless" I confessed and looked down at our entwined hands.

"It's okay babe. I know how you feel. Just don't let that fear get you. Get hold of it" he said while squeezing my hands.

"Yeah I know. It gets difficult and I don't know what to do. I have no idea how to deal with it. Escaping from it is so enigmatic" I rambled.

"You don't have to escape from it. Fight it, like you did that day" he reminded me of the day at the mall. His words did leave an impression on my heart. I couldn't let the fear control me. I had to face it for then I would be free.

My gaze was yet locked at our hands. Support was what I needed. I required someone to hold me, to keep me from collapsing. And it was Amarion who could aid me to stay resilient.

"I will fight it but I need your help" I said softly and held his hand tighter.

"I'll always be there love" he reassured whilst holding my cheek.

"I don't want to lose the ones I love" I said in a low voice while gazing into his eyes.

An emotion flashed in his eyes but I couldn't make it out. As if something hit him from the inside, something that implicit from my what I had said. But what? Was he thinking of the matter separately?

I parted my lips to ask him what he was thinking but then suddenly my cellphone buzzed.

I quickly looked at the screen.

An unknown number appeared on it.
