Amarion
I woke up and the first thought that struck me was Amour. She wasn't in my arms. She was far away in her house. I couldn't see her but at least I could hear her sweet voice. I looked for my cellphone and then heard its ring tone. But it wasn't coming from my room. I quickly got off my bed and followed the constant sound. I stopped at the staircase and felt the sound getting louder. I moved downstairs in a trice and witnessed my cellphone buzzing. I rushed to it because I knew it was Amour who was calling.
I took the phone in my hand and smiled as I saw her name flash on the screen. I answered it and eagerly pressed the phone on my ear.
"Hello baby" I said softly.
"Amarion" her voice was sad.
"Yes? What happened? Are you okay?" I questioned with worry.
"I am fine" she replied in monotone.
"Then?" I grew tensed. I had a feeling that something bad was going to happen.
She didn't respond and her silence made me sweat.
"Amour, please say something" I pleaded and she sighed.
"It's just that I have always thought that you were more important to me than the one I loved but" she paused and my heart beat accelerated.
"But what Amour?" I almost yelled.
"I was wrong. I can never love you more than him" she replied and the ground beneath my feet trembled.
"Amarion, he wants me back and I thought about you but my heart wants him and not you. I am sorry Amarion but I am going back to him. I love him" she continued and her words gave me such intense pain that I became numb.
"Amour?" I quivered. My world seemed to be ending. How could she say that? After all that I've done.
"I am breaking up with you. Goodbye Amarion" she said and hung up. The cellphone dropped on the ground from my hand and shattered on the floor just like my heart.
"But I love you" I whispered with agony. Tears slipped from eyes endlessly. There was no lovely spark, everything had turned very, very dark.
I knelt down and picked the shard of the screen and pressed it on my wrist. The blood dripped on the floor but I felt nothing for the ache in my chest was more. I watched each drop of gore fall on the cold ground, hoping that the venom of her love left my body and freed me from the endless agony.
"Amour" I groaned and collapsed to the ground along with the fragments of my heart.
I woke up with a jolt and breathed heavily. I looked over at my wrist but it wasn't bleeding nor was there a scar. I was in my bed. I was asleep. That was a nightmare! I sighed with relief. The palpitation of my heart turned gradual. I wiped the sweat from my forehead and looked for my cellphone.
Oh no! I had left it in the living room last night when I had texted Amour. I got off my bed quickly and rushed to the staircase. My phone was on the coffee table downstairs. I looked at it and frowned. It buzzed and my mind spun. It felt like a deja vu.
No! It could never be. Amour would never leave me not even for him. I sighed and rushed downstairs but I skipped a stair and my other foot went out of balance. In a trice, I collapsed to the end of the staircase. I could hear the cellphone ringing.
Amour
Not sleeping next to him had been really difficult and I felt incomplete. I missed his warm embrace so much. All of my peace and patience seemed to have left with him. I somehow drifted to sleep by assuming the pillow to be his chest. I fell asleep at dawn and thought about him all night. I had texted him multiple times but he seemed to be asleep. I had no idea how the rest of the nights were to be passed. I couldn't even make one night through without him.
