After all they had gone through these past few weeks, the girls of Beorim Orphanage had seen their trip to Beijing as an opportunity to blow some steam off. To finally relax, without having to worry about the heating system in their apartment, or the long line to the bathroom, or the uncomfortable leather of their couch. It was a chance to rest both their bodies and minds, and regain the energy they desperately needed to fend off the obstacles still in their future.
Eunha had a different idea of what relaxing meant, though. Not only had she been to the hotel's gym just about as often as she'd been able to, but she'd insisted on going on every hike she could find. It was no surprise that, eventually, her sights landed on the Great Wall of China. After all, she was not at all sure she would ever come back to the country, considering how thin the ice they were walking on was. That, and it seemed like the ideal way to start off her fitness journey on Instagram, in one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world.
The problem was, Eunha was not keen on going alone. After all, she barely spoke the language, and the hike was slated to last a good two to three hours, which wasn't always fun on her own. And so, she'd tried to convince as many of her friends as she could to accompany her. Wonbin had been the first to volunteer, citing the need for inspiration — and a desire to stay in shape despite the delicious food they'd all been shoving in their faces for the past few days. Eunha would've been satisifed with just him; Wonbin did not seem too bothersome, and he looked like he could keep up with her.
Then, Seulbi had raised her hand, sneaking glances at her idol, and it had all gone downhill from there. Even as Eunha had tried to make her reconsider, stressing how exhausting the journey would be, she'd insisted on going. Not only that, she'd even managed to rope Vera into going! Granted, that wasn’t all that hard, but Eunha had thought even someone as suggestible as Vera would pale in the face of such a long hike.
When or how exactly Anton and Seunghan had ended up joining them, Eunha couldn’t quite remember. She'd long tuned out by that time, after Sara had refused to come with her, far more eager to enjoy the comfort of her bed. How come the only other girl who liked to work out and have long walks with her had refused, and now she was stuck with this ragtag team of house cats?
