Today, Seulbi was on a "date" with Minhyuk.
...At least, that had been the plan. She'd dressed up in her cutest clothes, spent an entire hour styling her hair, had touched up her makeup a thousand times. And when she'd skipped and sauntered to the front doors of her hotel, the smile on her face might just have blinded any passersby.
It fell in an instant when she'd noticed Wonbin by the doors. How the topic of his tagging along even came up, she couldn’t quite remember, having tuned him out out of pure confusion. His first excuse had been that he wanted to see more of Las Vegas too, to which Seulbi had replied he could just get his own tour guide. His second one had been that it would be safer for him to accompany her, considering she did not know Minhyuk very well.
Of course, that was the excuse that had resonated with Yuhwa. In an act of unexpected betrayal that left Seulbi's mouth hanging, the older girl had agreed with Wonbin, and nudged Seulbi to accept his company. She'd even thanked him! The world had turned upside down and, if it wouldn't ruin her perfect foundation, Seulbi would've pinched her cheek to make sure she wasn’t dreaming.
Now, having a chaperone shouldn’t have been a problem. Having grown up at Beorim, Seulbi was more than used to being pampered and protected and maybe a little coddled. Yuhwa had followed the direction of the staff and, frankly, in the grand scheme of things, Seulbi did not mind going on a date with a chaperone. It was a little childish, a little awkward, but it wouldn't be a problem.
Well, it shouldn’t have been. Unfortunately for her, things had turned out... Strange.
"Oh my god," Minhyuk exclaimed for the tenth time, his hands on his cheeks, "I'm a huge fan! I love your music so much, I... I can't believe I get to meet you!"
Wonbin's smile, a sight Seulbi usually cherished, made her want to punch him in the face. "Hey, thanks for the support. It's always nice meeting fans."
Yes, Seulbi certainly hadn’t prepared for her date to be a mega fan of Wonbin. Now, she could hardly blame him for it — she, too, was a certified fangirl, and Wonbin's music was too good to resist. In fact, this might even have been a good conversation topic, one to bring them closer on their little date.
