An invitation to shop and dine in Myeongdong had landed in Yuhwa's lap in the late afternoon, and she'd almost been tempted to refuse it. Almost, because Sangah had read the text from over her shoulder and jumped in excitement, rallying the girls behind her. Even the once reluctant members of the group seemed eager to meet with their friends again, and Yuhwa had found herself swiftly outnumbered.
That, and she hadn't put up much of a fight, Vera had noticed. It seemed even Yuhwa longed for the life of luxury they'd gotten a taste of; or perhaps it was something—someone—else entirely that drew her to accept the invitation. And so, the girls had prepared to join the guys in front of a parking lot outside of Myeongdong, minus Seulbi. The girl's evening was already occupied by an equally enticing activity. Vera, too, would have to leave soon, and yet... She'd thought it wouldn't be bad to show up just for a moment. Say hello. To no one in particular.
The group of men was heard before it was seen: Shotaro's chipper voice had called out to them as soon as they'd left the parking lot, sending warm greetings their way. For a moment, Vera thought he might just pull Yuhwa into an embrace, give her a kiss on the cheek, but he held himself back, settling for a squeeze on her hand. Holding onto her purse, Vera observed them from a few steps behind, trying to will her eyes away from Anton's tall and slender silhouette as he exchanged silent nods with Solhwi.
"I hope none of you ladies were looking forward to seeing Wonbin," Shotaro said with a wink. "Our favorite diva has a concert tonight."
A wave of awkward silence settled over the girls, only broken by Sara's nervous chuckle. "Oh, he does? Hah..."
That was no new information to any of the girls, for very obvious reasons. In fact, the source of that knowledge, or her absence rather, was quickly noticed.
"Come to think of it," Seunghan started, narrowing his eyes as if he was counting their heads, "Seulbi isn't here either."
Yuhwa cleared her throat, her lips tightly pinched together. "Um, yeah, she's got, uh... Family stuff."
Vera held her breath at the older girl's shoddy excuse, but the topic was swiftly brushed off. If needed, she would have jumped in with a more elaborate lie, all to hide the truth: Seulbi was currently waiting in line for Wonbin's concert. At first, Yuhwa had attempted to dissuade her from attending, but there was very little that could tear the girl from her idol. In exchange, she'd promised to hide herself well, so as to not risk being recognized by the singer, outing herself as a fan. That was an added difficulty none of the girls were willing to deal with.
