Eating lunch wasn't all that easy, when one was constantly on the verge of throwing up their guts. If the decision had been in Eunha's hands, she would have stayed home instead of going to university, but Yuhwa's glare when she'd attempted to make her case early in the morning had quickly made her swallow her words. Not that she'd been in a very good state to concentrate on classes, considering the terrible headache that had consumed her entirely.
Even now, sitting alone in the cafeteria, Eunha had not found relief for her condition. Every conversation around her sounded like construction work, and the lights above her head made her so dizzy she could barely aim with her chopsticks. Yuhwa's unspoken words still found a way to resonate in her mind, louder than all other sounds: "you shouldn't have drunk so much". For once, Eunha could see the wisdom in that. Hangovers, she was used to dealing with. Hangovers at school, though...
A shadow moved in the corner of her eye, and Eunha believed it was only her vision giving out, wobbly as it already was. But soon, a voice reached her ears, and she had to use all the remaining strength in her body to focus on its words.
"You okay? You look terrible."
Like a rusted lever, she struggled to turn her neck to the side, her eyes narrowed in an attempt to shield them from the lights. Thankfully, Seunghan's silhouette perfectly blocked them out, and for just a moment, Eunha found some relief in looking at him. Only for a moment, though, because a stabbing pain pulsed through her temples the next.
"No, I'm... Hungover," she slurred out, pinching the bridge of her nose in an attempt to squeeze the pain out. "And my head hurts."
"Oh, yeah, you went to that party yesterday, huh?" He tilted his head to the side, revealing one of the lights, and Eunha groaned. "Not a good idea to let loose that much before a school day."
Whether it was the tone of his voice, or the content of his words, it brought a hiss of pain to Eunha's ears. "Ugh, shut up, you're too loud..."
Overwhelmed by all of her senses, she pushed her tray out of the way, and sprawled over the table. Burying her face in her arms, she let out a long sigh, finally enjoying the darkness it granted her. But it didn't do much for sound — she still heard Seunghan's tray clank against the table next to her, and the sound of a zipper opening.
