It was already night when the plane landed in the airport just outside of Las Vegas, but one wouldn’t have known from a glance at the inside. The large hall was decked in colorful lights and neons, vibrant signs hanging over each shop as if to lure customers in. Bold letters welcomed them to Las Vegas, only an inkling of what the city had in store for them, if its airport was anything to go by.

Seulbi was far more energetic than any of her peers, who seemed eager to get out of the hubbub of the airport and straight to their hotel. She wasn’t very tired, she thought, but her stomach growled so loud she wondered if the other tourists here had heard it.

With a beam on her face, she turned to Yuhwa, whose eyes flickered back and forth between every exit. "I'm hungry! Can I go get snacks?"

"Uh, sure."

They would surely eat at the restaurant of their hotel tonight, but Seulbi wasn't sure she had it in her to wait. Pumping her fist cheerfully, she spun on her heels again, ready to spot the nearest place she could get snacks in the busy hall of the airport. Instead, her vision was filled with black, and it took her a few seconds to realize Wonbin was standing before her. Even with a cap over his head and a mask covering his mouth, he stood out from the crowd, his every move dripping with coolness.

"Hey, how was the flight?" he said, his voice a little muffled by his mask.

She couldn’t see much of his face at all, but he way his eyes had squinted told her he was either scowling, or smiling. It seemed more likely to be the latter, but that option was somehow not the least scary. Ever since the concert, ever since their quiet conversation back at that restaurant, Seulbi had struggled to look Wonbin in the eye — at least more than she had before. He felt a little too...

Real. She knew it was a foolish thought, but she couldn’t ignore it anyway. Wonbin felt in her reach and that simple idea was enough to freak her out. Like she could cross an invisible line at any moment...

"I—it was fine!" she exclaimed, stumbling over her words. "Excuse me, I was, um, going over there!"

She did not wait for a response, instead sprinting to the nearest sign that looked like a shop where they sold food. The little stall in the center of the room indeed seemed to be overflowing with snacks, but that wasn’t quite what caught her attention. The real showstopper was the insane line in front of it, tired travelers all grouped up in a flock like zombies crawling towards food. Seulbi sighed, propping herself up on the tip of her toes to try and catch a better glimpse of the stall. At this rate, it might have been quicker to wait for dinner.
