Jiayi wasn't in Seoul very often, she'd made that much clear when she'd sent a text to Eunha, notifying her of her presence in the city for the next week. The underlying message wasn't hard to parse through: if she wanted to see her, she needed to do it now, or never. And so, despite this not quite being the ideal time, Eunha obliged. The two decided to meet at brunch, sitting at the terrace of a trendy restaurant Jiayi had seen all over social media. Eunha's big omelette looked silly in comparison to the dainty pancakes covered in jam Jiayi had ordered for herself, only to take a thousand photos of them before ever taking a bite.

"It's so nice to see you in Korea," Eunha spoke up with a full mouth. "If you need someone to show you around, I'd be happy to do it."

"Hmm mmh," was all Jiayi replied, angling her phone the other way.

Well, that was another unsuccessful attempt at conversation. Eunha resigned herself to finishing her omelette, tired of waiting for her to start eating. She'd skipped breakfast just for this, and she hoped Jiayi wasn't taking videos, or else it would record the sound of her stomach growling.

A shadow fell over the table, and both Eunha and Jiayi finally took their eyes off their respective plates. A group of young women had approached them with unsure expressions, phones at the ready, and Jiayi straightened up, donning her most dazzling smile.

"Oh my god," one of the girls said, "are you Jiayi?"

"That's me!" she answered proudly. "Do you want an autograph? I could sign this napkin."

Turning the charm up to eleven, Jiayi gestured to the stack of napkins on the table, leaning towards the girls. Eunha silently observed, feeling even more out of place than before. Although she'd gained a decent following, she was far from having fans approach her, especially in a totally different country.

She was halfway through formulating a thought about how amazing Jiayi was when one of the girls scoffed.

"How about you sign me a check instead? Look at this!" she said, pointing to her face. "I bought this cream you recommended, and it totally burned my skin! Now I have scars!"
