Instead of visiting London all together, everyone had opted to go their own way on their first day, focusing on what each found more interesting in order to maximize their short stay in the country. For some, it had looked like a full day of exploring museums, for others it had meant trying to find nature on the outskirts of the city. Only Eunseok had not been so lucky, forced to stay at his hotel for an investor meeting he'd been grumbling about for days.

Of course, Solhwi's outing had looked like this: a hunt for good, local food, and Sohee glued to her arm without even having to ask. It was early evening when the two made their way back to their hotel, with full bellies and the cool breeze rushing through their hair.

"I mean, it was good," Sohee said for the third time, shrugging. "Fish and chips isn't my favorite, but I'd say that was a good one."

Solhwi nodded slowly, in the cryptic way cooking show judges always did. "Needed a bit more seasoning. Maybe some paprika."

Not that it had been a bad dish — Solhwi hardly remembered ever having one of those, even when the girls had been reduced to eating leftovers for days. There was always something to appreciate in even the simplest, blandest of cuisines, and fish and chips were never meant to be fancy. But Solhwi liked a little bit of flavor, a little bit of spice, and hoped she would perhaps find it tomorrow, whatever was on the menu.

Just as they finally reached the doors to their hotel, and stepped inside the warmer lobby, a man strode out from the opposite direction. He slipped his way into the entrance hall and, before he could catch the door, bumped right into Solhwi. The jab of his shoulder in hers sent her stumbling back, and Sohee caught her with an open arm, his hand flying to her elbow to anchor her. Eyes wide, Solhwi righted herself up, and took a step forward — at least, she would have, had Sohee not held her in place, folding over her almost protectively.

"Hey, you!" he called, bubbles of anger bleeding through his voice.

It took the man a moment to realize Sohee was addressing him. His hand fell from the doorknob, and he turned back with round eyes, blinking like he hadn't noticed their existence to begin with. Her eyebrows knitting together, Solhwi glanced at the man, then at Sohee, whose jaw had set dangerously.
