Despite how much Sara had prepared beforehand, her hands were still shaking uncontrollably, as she led her group of friends through the streets of Bangkok. It was already hard enough to find her way in a city she'd never been in, but the night having set, and the streets being packed with people only upped the difficulty. All she could do was spout out every single fun fact she'd learned from Google, hoping it would give the illusion she knew what she was talking about.

"We're at the beginning of the monsoon season, so the rains are pretty inconsistent for now. They get a lot more persistent around September," she listed off, acutely aware of how unnatural her voice sounded.

But Seunghan had been following her around like he was taking notes. "So when's the best season to come?"

"Um, April tends to be the hottest month, so it depends what kind of weather you like best."

It was really the first time Seunghan had talked to her for an extended period of time, and she had to admit he wasn’t as intimidatingly smart as she'd expected. Instead, he seemed interested in learning about every subject on Earth, including the weather pattern of Thailand. Too bad his teacher was a phony...

"Man, there's so much people here I can barely see where I'm going," he complained as he dodged a person who almost bumped into him.

"It's the traffic," Sara replied right away, unable to stop her mouth from reciting everything she'd found on the internet. "There are a lot of taxis, but they always jam up the roads. It's best to avoid them, honestly."

Shotaro appeared at her side, looking up at the tall buildings around them. "I imagine that's why there aren't many terraces where you can eat."

"Yes, instead, Bangkok has a lot of rooftop bars and restaurants."

"Well then, let's go to one!" he exclaimed without missing a beat.

Thankfully, he did not ask Sara for any recommendation — she hadn't gone as far as memorizing every bar or restaurant in the area. Instead, he simply pushed them all to the nearest bar he found, and ran up the stairs to the rooftop first. Sangah passed Sara by and gave her a thumbs up, but even that wasn’t enough to relieve all the anxiety that had piled up in her system. As soon as the group reached the rooftop, she hurried to the bar, eager to get a drink to soothe her worries. It was never in her habits to rely on alcohol to calm her down, but it seemed like the only option available. Going alone on a walk seemed inappropriate, especially considering how everyone seemed to count on her to help with the language.
