Letting go

I've had negative people in my life
That have caused me strife
But I'm letting go of them day by day
It's better than being bullied, or abused, in any way

Letting go is hard
But if you feel your heart is tearing apart
Then you must let go of this relationship
It's not worth it

I know it's very hard, as I said before
But by letting go, you'll gain so much more
Out of life's lessons
Soon, you'll realize
It's a blessing
In disguise

It's not as easy as sweeping the imaginary dust off of your shoulder
Or as easy as carrying a figurative 7 pound boulder
But, sometimes, you gotta sweep the imaginary dust off of your shoulder
And, sometimes, you gotta carry a figurative 7 pound boulder
Sorry, but that's the truth
It even hits our youth

You're not the only one
Having all this "fun"
There are plenty out there
Who have been there

Letting go is something you got to do
Although it's hard, that's true
But only do this when you feel this relationship is rough
And it's enough
Good luck to all of you who need to either let go, or sweep something imaginary off of your shoulder,
Or carry a figurative, maybe even real, 7 pound boulder
Good luck!
(I hope this poem didn't suck)
