The definition of poetry is hard to explain
But the act of writing poems is far from mundane
By writing poems, you're expressing a feeling
By writing poems, you're expressing your being

It's hard to think of a poem more grand than a poem that comes from the heart
It's hard to think of a poem more expressive than one that makes you feel like you're a part
A part of the poem written there
A part of that tender, love, and care
Or anger, hatred, and sadness
Or part of someone's madness
In a way, when you read someone's poem, you're reading what they feel
So, in essence, you're actually feeling what they feel, all of it real

So, writing a poem is expressive as well as grand
Because you get a chance to see someone make a stand
A stand on how they feel at a certain moment in time
A stand on how they see the world in a poem or a rhyme
