Canvas

When we paint, we paint what we feel
Soon, the canvas will have on it something real
It may be pretty to the sight
But our emotions are on it, in it, and it was a good "fight"

We smacked the canvas with a paintbrush
And our emotions we did crush
So, in a way, there was a fight inside and out
So, the painting came out the way it did, without a doubt

The canvas can bring out the creativity within you
That, to some, is very true
So, try painting someday
Even if you're not the greatest at it, or so you think, it's still okay

I'm sure Matisse wasn't that great an artist in the beginning, either
But, whatever comes out on your canvas is, in fact, art anyway
So, everyone's an artist, in their own special way, it's true
So, paint away today
