The Games We Play

The games we play
Make us have a harder day
Cuz the games we play ain't helping us through life
The games we play cause strife

When playing monopoly, we don't want to be jailed
When playing three blind mice, we don't want to be tailed
When playing tag, we don't want to be chased
When playing hide and seek, we don't want to be forgotten or "erased"

But, the games I'm referring to has nothing to do with the games I mentioned and any other game of that sort
But it has to do with the games we play when we feel we are of import
More inportant than all others in every aspect
They're flawed and we're perfect

The games we play verbally
Can hurt someone, in the end, although the end you don't yet see
So, when playing "monopoly" in life
Don't put us in jail, we didn't cause strife
When playing three blind mice, don't forget, we can't see you
So, watch what you do
When playing tag, don't chase us to hurt us
We'll just make a fuss
When playing hide and seek
Don't make us feel bleak

So, in life, we do play games
Either the good kind or the ones that don't mean we're tamed
But, I think we should only play the good kind of games in life
Ones that don't cause heartache and strife
But that's just my personal opinion
I'm allowed to have one; I'm not a minion
