Depression

When I was young and naive, I didn't know the difference between black and white
Now that I'm older, I know the difference, to everyone's delight
When you feel depressed, things don't feel black, white, or blue
They feel like an unexplainable hue

No one can really explain it, no matter how hard they try
It feels that way, so please don't it deny

Depression hits you at the weirdest, and oddest, times
It feels as sour as lemon limes
No one knows when it has hit them right away
All they know is that it shouldn't have a reason to stay
Why does it take over our minds?
Why do we let it us grind?

There's no cure for a depressed brain
All I know is that I hope I don't, from this, go insane
I hate being depressed
It just makes life more of a mess

Although depression has it's pros and cons; ups and downs
We all step out of bounds
We empathize like you wouldn't know
We know how you feel when you tell us how you grow
