Minerva Arena, The City

The crowd packed the main arena of the Amazon's Coliseum, although this could be its last event. Politicians, businessmen, organized crime bosses, Financial Messiahs, the former promoters of many of the Amazons, prominent figures from the political or business sphere from various parts of the world, but above all, allies of Bernardo Navarez, gathered in that venue. All were expectant to witness an unseen event in that place, but also one that had not been held for years: a mixed fight bout; however, what many knew was that it would probably turn into a bloodbath, given that it was a woman against a stronger guy with more ring experience. That was to the liking of many present, especially if it had an "old-fashioned ending."

Members of the Vitebsk Office who, for the most part, did not appear despotic, but did maintain a military composure escorted the girls of Amazon's Coliseum, obeying the only instructions they had: to lead the girls to the dressing rooms and prevent any attempt to escape. All of them had their belongings confiscated, such as cell phones, to prevent calls. All of them were subjected to metal detectors... something was found on some of them.

-...

-¿Qué? ¿Qué mirás, vos?

-You better take out whatever you're hiding, or I'll have to frisk you thoroughly, and it won't be nice.

-Ugh...

Vivi pulled out about four knives she had stored in the pockets of her baggy pants and another one she had hidden behind, not in a pocket, but in the back.

-Happy?

The man passed the detector over her again.

-Clear...

-Why the hell did you have a knife hidden in your ass, morra?

-In case these pelotudos want to do something to us! –Vivi retorted to Blazer.

-Well, even I, who had use knifes, wouldn't think of bringing a knife into a gunfight –the Latina clarified.

-Well, at least they weren't as... rude as I thought –Siff said-. And at least we'll be alone in the big dressing room.

-Are you okay, Aurora? –Marissa approached her friend-.

-Okay wouldn't be the right word... but I don't know if I feel bad. I don't know... I feel like I'm not really here.

-When I fought in the illegal circuits in Croatia, I felt the same way –Dragana mentioned-. You feel like you're about to face something that will probably kill you or do something worse than that.

-I see –Tamaki interjected-... if it helps at all, although I hope it doesn't sound out of place, when you're in the cage, I'm sure all doubt will dissipate. I know what you're up against with that guy.

-Maybe you're right.

-Good evening, girls.

The one who addressed them with those words was Boris Kachura, the leader of the Vitebsk Office. The girls received him with a mixture of terrified, suspicious, annoyed, or distrustful looks.

-Relax, I have no intention of saying or doing anything bad to you. First of all, I want to wish She-Wolf the best of luck, and I also want to mention that if you want to be in your teammate's corner during the fight, you can do so.

-Isn't it possible that your men will want to riddle us all with bullets from above? –Blazer asked.

-I believe that, under other circumstances, it would have been done before, but there are powerful reasons why it won't be.

-Well, if they're already going to sell us like we're livestock, then I don't think it makes sense for you to kill us –Artemis stated.

-Unless our girl kicks the crap out of your dude..
