Only an hour left until I meet mum's mystery man and go to Luke's house.

"Now what am I going to wear." I whisper to myself as I roll off of my bed and walk to my drawer. Since it was in the middle of the summer leggings and a jacket was a definite no.

I should have thought about all of this sooner.

Walking over to my closet I look through all of my dresses and my eyes lands on a dress that looks perfect for tonight. It was a simple sleeveless black dress with a tight top and a flare bottom that was lace. In all honesty this was one of my favorite dresses. Quickly I toss the dress onto the bed and grab a towel, rushing off into the bathroom.
My shower was twenty minutes long before I got out and start drying my hair. I then straighten it, which took about fifteen minutes and then tossed it up into another high ponytail. I lightly brush some foundation over my face and then apply a light coat of lip gloss. I walk out of the bathroom in my undergarments and instantly went over to my bed and slid on the dress.
Once the dress was fully on I slip on a pair of black heels and walk over to my mirror. For the first time this year I'm going to wear my contacts. I hate these things. They're annoying, they move in your eyes, they dry out easily, they're irritating and you have to carry around solution. I swear they're the worst, but my glasses they don't go with my outfit so this is the only other option. Smoothly I slipped them into my eyes making tears well up in them but not shed.

"Sweetie, come down. There's someone here I want you to meet!" I hear mom yell from downstair. Glancing at the clock I see that her "date" was ten minutes early. I let out a small groan. Once I look at my reflection one last time I walk downstairs and into the living room where mom and some man was having a giggle fest.

"Oh Lillian dear, come here!" She says to me excitedly. I walk over to her and instantly she grabs a hold on my arm.

"Jim this is my lovely daughter Lillian." She tells him as she pushes me a bit forward so I could shake his hand. I place my tiny hands into his majorly larger ones and shake his hand. He was around mom's age with brown hair and brown eyes. He looks polite and he was pretty in shape for a man his age.

"Well you look very lovely, Lillian. Just like your mother." He says while sending me a full smile. I hear mom let out another giggle as I send him one back before he looks at his watch.

"Oi! We should get going if we don't want to be late." Mother tells us while grabbing Jim's arm and making their way to the front door, me trailing behind them.

Oh this is going to be such a long night

"Hello, I'm guessing you're here for my mums dinner party. I guess that's what you want to call it." He states with a shrug and a laugh running his hand through his curly blonde hair. My mother nods as he moves to the side and let us through. I stop as mom and Jim greets Ms.Hemmings as I felt a presence beside me. I look over and saw it was the boy who answered the door. He was already staring down at me. It's not hard to tell it was Luke's brother because they some what look alike.

"And who is this beautiful young lady?"

I snap my gaze away from him and over to Ms.Hemmings. I send her a smile and shake her outstretched hand.

"I'm Lillian." I state while pulling my hand out of hers. She returns the smile.

"You look so lovely!" She gush making me blush and look down at my heels. I mutter a 'thank you' before looking back up at her. She smiles before motioning us to follow her into the living room.
We all sit down and instantly mom and Ms.Hemmings went into a deep conversation about something that happened last week at work while other co workers chatted about nothing that caught my interest. I sit there quietly and listen to the different conversations that floated around the room. I glance down at my heels and found them really interesting for some odd reason.
