I'm tired

When I woke up this morning it was around ten and I had a pounding headache. For what reason I don't know, but it was there. I guess it was from all the stress that has been on me lately. It's just too much. It's been a month since school started and here I am already over my senior year. Well on the first day I was already over it, but now with all this drama just makes me want to stay at home and sleep.
Sighing I take another bite of my soggy cereal as mom scurried around the kitchen trying to get stuff to take to work this morning.

"Honey, where's the pop tarts?" She asks while searching through the cupboard. I point to the cupboard above the fridge as I munch on some more cereal. She thanked me quickly before rushing to that cupboard and grabbing one of the many strawberry pop tarts. She grabs it then quickly grabs her brief case that was sitting on the Island. She then straightens out her grey pencil skirt before walking over to me and planting a kiss to my forehead.

"I'll see you this afternoon." She says before rushing out of the kitchen and to the front door. I send a smile in her direction, even though she can't see me before taking the final bite of my cereal and getting up to place it in the sink.

"Lillian, there's someone here to see you!" I hear mom call from the living room leaving me in confusion. Luke wasn't suppose to be here until twelve so who could this be?
I walk out of the kitchen and to the front door where mom had her back facing me talking to the person at the door. I continue to walk closer until I see familiar blonde hair.

"Ryan? What are you doing here?" I question as I finally make it to the door, where mom was watching Ryan with the "future boyfriend" look. I resist rolling my eyes as I continue to look at Ryan. He was standing there with his hands in his back pockets.

"I just wanted to come see you. That's it." He said while shrugging his shoulders. I blush while mom let out a small 'aw' making me snap my head in her direction. She smiles and sends me a wink before turning and walking out of the house, closing the door behind her. I place my hands over my face and let out a small groan resulting in a chuckle from Ryan. He grabs my two wrist and pull them away from my bright pink face.

"Hey, no need to be embarrassed. My mom would have did the same thing if you would have came to my house." He states with a smile before releasing my wrist. We sit in silence for a couple of minutes before he spoke.

"Are you doing anything tonight?" He asked while digging his phone out of his back pocket. I shake my head instead of speaking. For one I didn't feel like talking and secondly I haven't got the chance to brush my teeth yet.

"So the reason I asked is because my friend, he's throwing this huge party tonight and I was wondering if you wanted to go?" He asks with pleading eyes.

"Look, Ryan I-

"I know you're not a party person, but I think you need to have fun. You've been going to school with me for a while and not once have I seen you at a high school party. Just imagine when you get into college and when you go to your first party, you wouldn't know what to do. You need experience for college. Come on Lilly. I'm begging you." He states while cutting me off.
He has a good point, but me? Going to a party? Nothing can go right. I've always thought about going to parties, but I've always thought of things that could go wrong, such as me drinking. The only alcoholic beverage I had red wine and that was because I turned eighteen so I wouldn't know the difference between anything. Then I could end up getting piss drunk and doing almost anything.

Yep. I'm not going.

"Sorry Ryan. I just don't see myself going to a party. Plus it's still the beginning of the school year and I don't want to get behind on my school work."
He sighs before nodding.
