Is it too late to try to stay home?
Yea I'm pretty sure it's too late since Riley and I are about to walk in. As usual the loud music was pounding and annoying as ever. I really have no idea why I agreed to coming to another party.
Oh yea that's right. Luke is a fucking douchebag.
Rolling my eyes at the thought of Luke, Riley and I walk in instantly making our way to the kitchen. We collecte a few wolf whistles on the way, but of course Riley would because she gorgeous and plus what she is wearing helps it. She's wearing a black dress with some black converses. Her hair was straighten and her make up was done perfectly as always so yea she deserves some attention. Me on the other hand, I'm wearing something simple. A black t shirt, a black pair of jeans and a black SnapBack that I worn backwards.
"Cal should be here soon, because I asked him to come so we could know at least one person here." She tells me before fixing herself a drink. I nod in response before fixing my new favorite alcoholic drink. We both down the drinks like it was nothing, the slight burning sensation returning to my throat.
"Let's take some shots!" She says while already filling two shot glasses to the brim with vodka. She passes me one with a silly smile on her face. I look at the small glass filled with alcohol then over at Riley.
"Oh come on. Just think about it like when you were little and you filled bottle caps with the soda then drunk the soda out of the lid. It's sort of like that. It will probably burn a little but you'll get use to it throughout the night." She tells me before putting the glass up to her lips and tipping her head back. She lifts her head back up with a goofy smile on her face. She then pulls herself another shot before lifting it into the air.
"Here's to a new friendship." She tells me before downing the shot. I hesitate before giving her a glance then putting the glass up to my lips and tilting my head back letting the cool liquid burn down my throat. Quickly I lift my head back up as my eyes started to burn and water once again.
"You just have to get use to it. Now take another one so we can go have fun." She says while taking the small glass from my hands and refilling it. She passes the glass back to me as I take a deep breath.
Here's to a night of nothing but regrets and disappointments.
I copy my actions from before and took the shot. It burns less this time, but almost instantly I catch a chill down my spine making me think that the alcohol is already in my system even though I know alcohol doesn't work that fast.
I let out of puff of air as I grab another red solo cup and pour root beer and rum in the cup. I took a small sip before turning back to Riley. I send her a goofy smile making her let out a squeal and grabbing my wrist, pulling me out of the kitchen. We leave the kitchen, she drags me into the dancing area a.k.a the living room. Strangely I didn't stop her.
"Now we must dance." She says while swaying her hips to the beat of the current song playing.
"I can't dance. Like at all. I can barely walk without tripping." I tell her while an unknown giggle came from the back of my throat then taking another sip of my drink. Riley laughs along with me before letting out a sigh.
"Fine, but at least go mingle and just don't sit in the corner." She tells me before smiling.
"Trust me with the way I'm feeling right now, I won't." I tell her, returning the smile.
