Lunch time.

The time where everyone sits with their friends and gossip. Even on the first day of school people find stuff to gossip and talk about.
That's the first thing I hear when I enter the cafeteria. Just loud chatter about nothing important. People going on and on about what they did this summer or who they did this summer.

That's just gross

Cringing slightly at that conversation I make my way over to the line and wait until it's my turn. I move with the slow line and mentally roll my eyes at these people. Like come on. Stop picking over the food and grab something.

"Hey stranger."

I jump as I turn around quickly to face the person who spoke to me. I feel heat rise to my cheeks as I realize it was Justin. I send him a small smile and move with the line as he follows beside me. We didn't say anything throughout the whole line wait, which was about five minutes but he waits for me which was absolutely sweet of him.
Once I get done getting my lunch we walk until he saw me turning towards the door.

"Where are you going?" He asks while walking closer. He was just a foot away from me and being this close to a boy has never happen before so of course my face would heat up and turn a light shade of pink.

"Oh I-I usually eat outside by the big tree."

He lets out a small chuckle before he shakes his head and grab my wrist, making my heart speed up. I feel my face heat up again as I look down at my tray.

"No you're eating inside and not in the blazing heat and with me." He states while smiling at me and pulling me towards an empty table. We both sit down with our back facing the wall so we can see everything.
We sit in silence for a few minutes just taking in each other's presence. I look around at the different people in the cafeteria. There were the jocks sitting at one table, then there were the populars, the "nerds" as people would call them and there were many more in smaller groups such as Justin and I.

"So what class are you going to next?"

I look over at Justin and just stare at him before answering. He was very attractive and why he's talking to me I have no clue.

"English." I say while taking a bite of my sandwich.

"Really. Me too." He says while running one of his hands through his hair. I smile at him and continue to eat.

"You must be one of those people, who rather listen than talk because honestly you're so quiet that it's scary. You could probably be one of those homicidal people."

I almost choke on my water as I let out a small laugh and shake my head. I turn to him and notice how his eyes lit up when he heard me laugh.

"That's what I wanted to hear. I know serial killers would never laugh. So you're in the clear."
I smile and let out a small laugh. He watches as I finish drinking the last little bit of my water and smile.

For the rest of lunch we just got to know each other a little better. I learned that me and him have our last two periods together and much more. I feel like we've been friends for longer than just today. He's so easy to talk to and that's what makes him an even better friend.
Right now we were both walking to my locker so I could grab my English book and an empty notebook. I told him he didn't have to, but he insisted that it would be alright.

"So I heard that Amy got pregnant this summer." Justin's said as we make it to my locker.

This boy is such a gossiper.

"Well that sucks for her, but I hope everything goes well." I answer while opening my locker and placing the two thick books, I already used back into my locker then grabbing the big, bulky English book and an unused notebook. I place the two things into my bag, pulling out my Art notebook in the process. Closing the locker, I grip my art notebook tighter in my hands and turn to look at Justin.

"Ready?" He says with a smile. I nod as we start walking to English.
We make it to the classroom and instantly I go straight to the back, which makes a chuckle come from Justin. I crack a small smile as I hear him follow me to the back.

"Why do you sit all the way back here? Christ I never knew how long this walk was."

I roll my eyes at his silly comment as I sit down with him sitting beside me.

"Well for one I don't like sitting in the front, where it feels like everyone is staring at me. Secondly it's not even a long walk. Quit being lazy." I reply.
He sighs as he sits back in his desk that his body was practically eating alive. My eyes scans over his tan, fit body as he stretches in his desk. I wonder what he does to get such a nice tan?
I never noticed how fit he was and how his strong his facial features were. His prompt cheek bones and his sharp jawline.

This boy is really attractive. Why is he even talking to me?

"I have a camera on my phone if you want to take a picture." Justin says while smiling and letting out a laugh. I quickly snap my eyes back to his and saw that they were already staring at me. I blush a deep shade of red as I quickly turn to face the front of the room.

"Ah shit. It's alright Lilly. It was funny." He said while letting out another laugh.

"No it's not. That was very embarrassing." I groan into my hands earning another laugh from Justin as the tardy bell rung. We both turn back forward to face the front just as the teacher began to speak.

"Good afternoon class! I'm Mr.Jones and this is advance English IIII and I hope we all could-

Before Mr.Jones could finish his little speech the classroom door flies open and in waltz three boys I was hoping I wouldn't see at all.

Are you kidding me?

Ashton, Michael, and once again Calum.
I internally groan and throw my head back. This can't be happening. I really don't like these boys and now they're going to be distracting me from one of my favorite classes. First Calum in art and now this.

"Boys, at least if you are late make it quiet. You interrupted my mini speech. Now go take a seat. You're lucky it's the first day of school and I don't give out detention." Mr.Jones states while mumbling the last part to himself.
The group of boys search around the room for empty seats, which they were plenty of but knowing that they were looking for someone to mess with makes this chill run through my bones. I shrink down in my chair as Calum eyes makes their way over to the side of the classroom that I'm on. Once again I watch his every move hoping his eyes would skip mine like the last time.
I sigh in relief as his eyes skips mine once again, but maybe I sigh a bit to early. His brown eyes bounces back to my blue ones making my heart stop. Slowly but surely the same old smirk crawls onto his face sending my heart to my throat. I watch as he elbow Michael and points to the four chairs in front of Justin and I. I internally groan as Justin did it out loud. I look over at him as he looks at them then over at me.

"This should be interesting." He mouths. I nod as I turn back to see Calum sitting in front of me staring at me. I groan internally while he sent me a smile.

"Afternoon art buddy!"

Yes this should be interesting.
