Where are we even going?
"Lucas where are we going?"
"Why do you ask so many questions?" He replies as we continue to drive to wherever we were going.
We have been driving for the past twenty-five minutes and all I have been looking at were trees passing by. I let out a loud sigh and lean my head against the fogged up window. Luke chuckles while turning off the road and onto a dirt road. My eyes widen and I quickly look at Luke."Are you going to murder me?" I instantly ask as we continue to make our way down the dirt road. He laughs while shaking his head.
"No Lilly. Just grab my jacket out of the backseat and put it on. We're here." He said while stopping the car and taking the keys out of the ignition. I unbuckle my seatbelt and turn to grab the jacket. Once I had the hoodie secured in my hands, I look over at Luke who was already looking at me with a smug look on his face.
"Ready?" He asks while cocking an eyebrow. I nod as I opened the door and got out. I close the door and slid on Luke's jacket over my
body. It fell to mid thigh and the sleeves were slightly longer than my arms. I pull my hair from out of the jacket and glance over at Luke, who was standing there watching and waiting for me. I smile over at him as I walk around the car and over to him."Lead the way Hemmings." I say as we begin to walk up a small hill. We walk for about a minute in silence before I heard something ruffling in the woods making me jump into Luke and grab his bicep. I look at him quickly and notice how he had a small smile on his face making me blush. I drop my hands from around his upper arm and down by my side. I let out a big sigh as we continue to walk to his "happy place". It's actually really nice to know that Luke wants me to see the place that makes him happy.
"Okay close your eyes." He states while stopping and turning to face me. I give him a weary look before closing them and letting out a huff of air. I feel his large hands come up to my eyes and cover them.
"Just because you don't listen to me most of the time." He whispers in my ear which sent chills down my back.
Let's just blame that on the wind.
"Alright Lilly walk until I say stop." He states once again. I follow his orders and start to walk straight forward. I felt the ground start to incline as we continue to make our way to where Luke's happy place was.
"Alright. Stop, but keep your eyes closed." He states after a few more minutes of quiet walking. He then removes his hands from over my eyes. I hear his footsteps walk from behind me to beside me as he let out a big sigh.
"Okay open them."
I open my eyes and let out a small gasp. This was probably the prettiest thing I have ever seen. The sight was absolutely wonderful. From where we stood you could see most of the city. You could see most of the large buildings with their florescent lights glimmering against each other. Part of the lights were dancing on the water that surrounded part of city. Not only were the lights shimmering on the water but you could see the perfectly star studded night sky. I let my eyes travel from the water and up to the star filled sky and take in the many constellations that the stars made. I smile and close my eyes taking in the relaxing air."Do you like it?" I hear Luke ask which made me open my eyes and turn to look at him. He stands right beside me staring down at me with a small smile planted on his face.
"I love it. It's such an lovely place." I tell him while sending him a quick smile before turning back to the beautiful sight in front of me.
"I'm pretty glad I found this place." He states after a few minutes of silence.
