I'm so nervous. My good Lord I won't have any fingernails before I leave.
Sighing, I plop down on the couch for the second time today, but this time I'm waiting for Ryan.
After I got up from my nap I instantly went to use the bathroom because it felt like I drunk twenty bottles of water before I went to sleep. After handing my business I took a shower making the icky and groggy feeling wash away. The shower was about fifteen to twenty minutes long before I got out and started to get ready. I decided on something simple yet something that I thought was cute. It consisted of black skinnies, a white tank top that was covered by a light blue bean cardigan, topped off with black vans. My hair was straighten and placed into a neat bun that was held up high by a few bobby pins. My glasses were propped on my nose as they usually are and my phone in my hand that would probably go into my back pocket. In conclusion of getting ready I brush some foundation onto my face followed by some mascara and strawberry Chapstick.
Yea it might not sound like a lot of stuff but it took an hour and thirty minutes.
Letting out a huff of breath, I watch as the clock switched to five minutes after seven which made nerves rumble around in my stomach. I'm about to go on my first date ever in my life and I have not a single idea on what to do. God this is so nerve wrecking. What can be so fun about this? I think I want to back out now. Going on dates seems like fun until you're in a countdown waiting for the person to get there.
If he even comes.
Before I could doubt Ryan any longer, the doorbell rings making me jump to my feet. I scramble over to the door as my heart starts to pound a mile a minute in my ears. As I make my way to the door I try to steady my ragged breath and try to calm my shaken nerves. This is crazy how just hanging with someone of the opposite sex makes me so nervous. I even get nervous with Justin.
Letting out a loud breath I place my shaking hand on the door and twist the knob, pulling the door open. I suck in a sharp breath at the very lovely sight in front of me.
Ryan stood there with a bouquet of white roses and a wide smile stretching on his face. He was wearing faded denim jeans with a plain black t-shirt. His blonde hair was flicked in his usual style and his blue eyes were quite lighter than usual.
"Hello Lilly. These are for you." He states while pushing the beautiful flowers towards me. I take them out of his hands and bring them up to my nose. I sniff them before pulling them away from my nose and sending him a small smile.
"These are beautiful. Thank you so much Ryan. Why don't you come in and I'll put these in some water then we can be on our way?"
He nods before walking in and closing the door behind him. I quickly scoot to the kitchen and place the roses down on the counter top. I got an unused vase and put some water in it then stuck the white flowers in it. I smile at the sight of the beautiful vase of roses that's now sitting in the middle of the kitchen table. I let a small smile fight its way onto my face as I walk back out of the kitchen and back to where Ryan was standing. He had one of his hands stuffed into his front pocket while the other one was scrolling through his phone. I guess he heard my feet against the floor because he looks up and smiles.
"Ready?"
I nod as he turns around and open the door. He let me walk through first into the hot and humid air as he follows behind me and then closing the door behind him. I make sure the door is locked before we continue to his nice car. He held the passenger door open for me making me blush at his gentleman like action. I hop in, him closing the door and then making his way to the other side. He sits down in the car and starts up the perfect sounding engine before pulling out of the driveway and onto the street.
I wish I had a nice sounding engine. I wish I had a car for that matter.
Sighing as we make our way down the street I notice the music playing in the background. It was the CDs he brought at the music store. I tried to fight the smile that found its way onto my face but it won.
